  • I recommend renting a house. I'm staying here: http://www.vrbo.com/222285 with 15 other Jammers. It's right on Delavan Lake, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3200 square feet, 20 minute drive from Alpine Valley... only $144 per person TOTAL for 3 nights! Yes, be jealous. ;):D

Wow! That's the way to do it!

Anyone else want to form a group and split a house like this together?

I can't get in in the Delavan area where most of Euro lot are gonna be, too late making my mind up to go. I am thinking of staying near the airport, easy access to fly to Montreal etc. I saw there is a shuttle from Des Plaines, I could stay near the pick up point. Is anyone else doing this?

Anyone else camping at Bigfoot Beach state park in Lake Geneva?! I'm almost thinking about changing my reservations to Kettle Moraine after reading some crappy reviews. Has anyone stayed/been to bigfoot beach before? Perhaps you could influence my decision!

Is there an advantage to staying in Des Plaines instead of Milwaukee?

Anyone Staying at Budget Host Diplomat...

Anyone interested in organizing a carpool? Any DD's out there? My buddy and I are staying here, but are trying to avoid having to drive to the venue to try and save on parking and do our part to reduce vehicle emissions.

We're also planning a trip to either the Goose Island or Revolution brewery on Saturday morning in case any beer snobs are interested. PM me and we can get the ball rolling.

The shuttle price is the same, the hotels are ok priced and I fly in and out of O'Hare, so effectively it saves me the return journey from the airport. As I have never been to the USA before, I figured I could spend a bit of time in Chicago and there might be more to see than in Milwaukee...
Though with everyone seeming to be closer to the venue I am feeling a bit like I will be away from the PJ party if you see what I mean.

I see they offer "local" transportation. I wonder if Alpine is considered local.

Bump for this thread and thanks to the OP. Lots of great info here. :) I found it while Googling for info.
