they stereo you are running it thru makes a huge difference. when i hear a song on my little office stereo, it's nothing all that exciting. when i listen to it my truck, it's 1000 times better.

i had been listening to it on my good quality headphones through my Sony stereo... even if I listened to it in the actual studio with Thom sitting beside me it'd still be their worst album.

Pablo Honey is their 2nd worst.. just in case the guy who mentioned that particular album thinks i'm a fan of only guitar based songs of theirs.

Also, there has been such little press and oomph with this album.. whereas In Rainbows became massive and had people talking and mentioning the honesty pricing thing... this one was released 2 months or so ago and already nobody seems to give a fuck... which is most likely because its shite

Radiohead's going to tape a From the Basement performance like they did with In Rainbows and air it June 1st.

This is a very good idea of theirs. Many people are doubting how these songs will sound live and this is their chance to prove to everyone that this album is not just electron blips.

Those people doubting they can pull it off would be morons. I mean it's got its bleeps and bloops but they have more complex tunes with similar sounds that they've pulled off live. There's not much goin on on most of the songs.

I wouldn't say that there's "not much goin' on," but I think the band won't have trouble performing these songs live. Can't wait to hear how much better (or worse) they sound in a live setting.

the discbox of in rainbows really is magnificent. maybe it's because i had somewhat low expectations, but it's easily the best overall design/packaging for an album i've purchased in recent memory. even the floyd's "oh b(u)y the way" set wasn't that great.

I just typed a big long post about my feelings on the Newspaper album and the music itself, and I was logged out in the interim and lost the whole thing...to sum it up, I like the newspaper album but wish it was a little more durable, and the album itself is okay, but sounds like Radiohead is scared to be Radiohead.
