PJ20 should be:

Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
New Alice In Chains
Foo Fighters
Neil Young
My Morning Yacket
TP & the Heartbreakers

That woulda been enough for me to drain my bank account to see. EVCT11 is gonna be way better.

Bushnell.

Bushnell.

That...woulda been too tempting for me to say no to. Especially if u snuck The Strokes in there. That woulda sealed the deal.

So, for me, 2011 is gonna have ta be MMJ18...not PJ20

now...to convince the other half to drive 6hrs to see a second MMJ show, and figure out how to get presale tix for 2 shows, at the same time

The title could now read:
"I will celebrating PJ 20 with Ed at the bushnell 6/18"

No alpine valley for me either. +1 on the webcast.

Hey everyone,

I think this is my first post here, but I'm a long-time lurker. Anyway I know it's a long shot but just wanted to throw out there, if anyone happens to have an extra pair for this show, I'm still looking. I don't care where the seats are at this point, I'll gladly take last row of the balcony. I got shut out on all the presales. Does anyone in the know for this venue know if there's usually ticket drops? I know it's not a ticketmaster venue so I'm not sure. Anyway my email is ctc1214@optonline.net if anyone's looking to unload a pair. Thanks!

You'll probably have to keep asking around. Wait a few days so all this PJ20 festival stuff dies down a bit and then start a thread looking for extra tickets.

I don't think this venue drops tickets closer to the date. The site says sold out.

I hope this helps.

Oh wow! Yeah, there's no denying he's a Harrison. Dead ringer for his dad.

Yep. You'd almost think that was actually George.

I think this looks relatively close to that picture:

Great album. Not in my top 3 Dylan records, however. It's got a cool story behind the recording of the songs, with Dylan's own brother employed in the production. I think it's a very personal and accessible album for his standards. Love Simple Twist of Fate, though I actually prefer Joan Baez version better according to my iTunes. Mid-to-late 70s Dylan was somewhat of an odd phase for the legendary lyricist.

What about you kid? What's your take on BOTT?

I consider it one of the best. Like you, it's not in my top 3 Dylan albums but maybe top 5 or 10. I find it a very fast moving record, where the songs fly by the first time you hear them. Obviously "Tangled Up in Blue" is one of his most well-known songs but I absolutely love "Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts". It's a mini-play in song form, something Billy Joel would do a few years later with "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant". I agree with you about mid-to-late 70s Dylan, a weird and odd time for him. Desire is a good album, with him keeping the momentum he had with the Rolling Thunder Revue Band.

I know you like Nashville Skyline, but I don't like the version of "Girl From the North Country" on that album.

I like both versions a great amount, but yeah the Cash duet is a little slower than the Dylan-only rendition.

Shit, I'm late to the Dylan Forum.

I've had Tell Tale Signs in my "rotation" since it came out - such an incredible collection they put together there.

For your further Dylan Outtake listening needs -

Blood on the Tracks sessions: http://www.mediafire.com/?do0q5zzjmtn
Desire Sessions: http://www.mediafire.com/?iwdedm2gnz0

These are legal as far as I know (have not been released other than through bootleg circulation) so don't get all "moddy" and "banny" on me ;)
