I await with much anticipation as all of us do, but anger stretches it too far. When our "got to have it now" consumer mentality overcomes us, we become animals and lose all sense of rationality (and adventure, I must say).
so you think 3-4 months is enough time for people to plan for this

    Yes.
yes it is but cost away more, and some people got problems cos their jobes put them to say when they want their vacations

Of course some people will have problems. However, it is still plenty of time for the vast majority of people that want to go.

The longer this takes to be announced my % of going decreases. To me announcing at least a time frame would have been a nice bit of info. A week or 2 period of when the show could be would have solved alot of bitching and complaining.

If you live in North USA. Outside of that and the longer the wait the higher the cost. Flights/travel/accomodation etc.

You can have your flight and room booked in a day. The cost wasn't the question. The question was whether 3-4 months is enough time to plan a weekend. Of course it is. If you can't get off from work, yes that would be a major kick in the ass.

I wouldn't care about GA in Europe. It's all the US drunk dopes who act like idiots that I want nothing to do with in a GA show. hahahahahahahaha They are bad enough in the seated area.

With the giant fans on top and the sound similar to that of a band playing from a tin can. Weren't these places made for music? Why do they sound so bad?

About 2 hours and almsot 90 miles according to google. I'm not familiar with the area, but I would expect a lot of traffic leaving downtown Chicago during the rush hours, especially if its a holiday weekend.

It's a drive. Best bet to rent a car. It is not a quick jaunt, but do-able. The tough part is driving back after waiting in the parking lot. This is a popular venue for DMB, Jimmy Buffet, ect and many people make the drive from Chicago and surrounding areas. Most people just drive.

There will probably be party bus options, maybe even some organized by people on the board.
