Is it possible for me to care less about this?

It's pretty fucking pathetic that people are so excited for this.

Could somebody bring England to the 21st century and make these people get real jobs.. If only we could all be born into "royalty".

    Exactly.
I read this article the other day about how all those attending the wedding need to abide by royal etiquette.
One of the rules was to bow down when the Queen arrives.
I would rather stick my middle finger up at the silly hag.

I wonder what the punishment would be for not bowing down to OUR queen.
Don't see why everyone has to bow down to her, I have no connection to England.
My ancestors are from another country.
Can't wait until Australia becomes a republic, we just need to wait until these old monarchist woman here pass away so that the referendum vote swings in the republican voters favour.

Why does the queen always wear white gloves when greeting people?
Is she scared of making skin to skin contact with "lesser" people?

Do you really think it is actually going to cost anything? I mean it seems obvious to me that the amount of revenue generated by that event could easily cover the cost of it. I mean you have all those people travelling to London to watch, they all pay for flights, hotels, meals, drinks, souvenirs. On top of that you have all the memorabilia being produced for people to buy, and all the magazines and books and that sort of thing. Plus the television broadcast rights, and the fact that the whole ceremony being broadcast around the world is basically one huge commercial for UK tourism (meaning more people will come in the future). The tax revenue alone would probably cover the cost of the ceremony and on top of that you get a huge boost to the economy.

It shits me to tears that Aussies pay these pigs through taxes.
Money that could be better spent on education, hospitals, medical research, infrastructure etc etc

Really? What part of our tax revenue goes to them???

But even if we did have extra money the government wouldn't spend it on those things listed above. Like the new carbon tax were over 50% of it goes back to the people who pay the tax to help with the increase in living costs the tax will create. Well, that doesn't make any sense to me at all.
