THAT'S IT!!! Rules need to be followed in my thread!!!
8-)
Finally, here is my list, with random comments:
Coldplay: A Rush of Blood to the Head - This band gets a bad rap, rightfully so with the plagiarism issues and all, but this album is just about perfect.
Death Cab for Cutie: Plans - Hard choice over Transatlanticism for possibly my favorite band of the 00s
Foo Fighters: One by One - underrated album with quintessential Foo sound
Franz Ferdinand: Franz Ferdinand - it made my list even with the homoerotic song Michael
Kings of Leon: Because of the Times - best combination of the ballsiness of the 1st 2 albums with the polish of their last 2 albums
Muse: Absolution - stacked collection of awesome rocking songs with a progressive slant
Pearl Jam: Pearl Jam (Avocado) - underrated album by Pearl Jam fans in general - my favorite 5-song finish on any PJ album
Queens of the Stone Age: Songs for the Deaf - Album is practically perfect, except for all the stupid radio inserts throughout (which I edited out in iTunes), and features the best drummer of our generation.
Radiohead: Kid A - except it gave them the electronica bug, unfortunately
Silversun Pickups: Carnavas - there is a woman in the band, but the singer is a manSpectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

12.White Stripes - Elephant
13.Liam Finn-Ill be Lightning
14.Once-OST
15.Damien Rice-0
16.Gorillaz-Demon Days
17.K-Os-Joyful Rebellion
18.Mastodon-Crack the Skye

Also I know it is all personal preference and everything but I am shocked at the amount of people listing In Rainbows over Kid A. I guess it is because it is more accessible, but Kid A is one of the best records of all time, let alone the decade. Seriously, its a trail blazer.{if (work != 0) {

oh wow...here it goes...
1. Ryan Adams - Gold (hard to pick just one....Heartbreaker & Cold Roses are great too, but this is the one that first got my attention)
2. Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (slam-dunk)
3. Pearl Jam - Riot Act (their best since Vs, IMO)
4. Steve Earle - Transcendental Blues (again, hard to pick just one, but this one was the soundtrack to my summer of 2000...along with Binaural, of course)
5. Robert Plant & Allison Krauss - Raising Sand (unlikely pair, and such beautiful music)
6. Lucinda Williams - World Without Tears (she'll break your heart if you listen too closely)
7. Widespread Panic - Ball (tasty guitar riffs)
8. Bob Dylan - Love and Theft (to me, forever associated with its release date of 9-11-01....which is weird because the music here always puts me in a good mood)
9. Gov't Mule - The Deep End, vol. 1 (recommended to all bass guitarists or bass lovers)
10. Black Crowes - Lions (love this one...always thought it was underrated)
Wow, that was hard....already thinking of great stuff left off the list0 -

Is anyone else more than a little alarmed that Zeitgeist has popped up twice? I know, to each his own and yadda, yadda yadda. But that was such a flaming bag of shit album. . .soulless, uninventive, mailed in. . .I can't possibly imagine someone loving it enough to call it a top 10 album for an entire decade. It makes much more sense to live in the present tense.0

They seriously are! They're one of those bands that unfairly gets lumped in with the one-hit wonders, like Blind Melon. I only know the 1st two MP albums... I'll have to check this one out soon... been meaning to.0
