    Has anyone seen the original note, or do we all just draw generic crooked hearts? Just wondering. EDIT: Just looked in the No Code liner notes again and saw the hearts there. Not the original note but still official. Cool.

    ok i just checked my No Code vinyl album (now you know i'm a fan) and the lyrics for Smile are partial, it doesn't say that part.....but on pearljam.com it say "3 crooked hearts and swirls all around"......so, who knows? that Vedder is a mumbler...

    EDIT - ok, checked vinyl again, i see the picture of the 3 hearts and swirls.....now i get it!

    that's obscure shit for sure, not something i'd have to be "joking" not to know. thanks.

    I forgot to say that I also think it's beautiful. They got the thickness of the lines just right, it looks like a Sharpie.

    Hmm maybe I'll try a ripoff Sharpie version for a show next summer! It really does look good there.
