I hate the red sox so much that I wouldn't take them in the top 10. There's just no way I can root for that team

you know, having ten players kind of makes it unfair for the people drafting towards the end of the first round.

reason is because we'd be drafting an odd number of teams (3)... so, for instance, the person drafting #1 will get (theoretically) the best team, the 20th best team, and the 21st best team [total = 42], while the person drafting #10 will get the 10th best team, the 11th best team, and the 30th best team [total = 51].

this only becomes fair if we each draft an even number of teams (and therefore go up and down the snake draft an even number of times), which would work with 7 players (each drafting 4 teams, therefore leaving out two MLB teams) or with more players only drafting two teams each.

so, with 7 players each drafting four teams:
    #1 pick, #14 pick, #15 pick, #28 pick [total = 58]
    #7 pick, #8 pick, #21 pick, #22 pick [total = 58]
    boom, equal.

i know that i am being way too serious laying things out like this, but i'm bored. if we get this to 7 people, we may as well stop in the interest of fairness... or get as many as possible and only draft two teams each.

    peace.

it's only 50 bucks. I'd rather lose than have to root for boston

We could up it to 5 teams each...and make it a secret ballot so people could end up with the same team.

Maybe throw a wrench in and say you have to take a team from the AL Central and that teams wins count double

yeah, I'm with you. this is different though. imagine having to root for the cowgirls for AN ENTIRE SEASON??

I know you're with me here...it just wouldn't happen. I don't care how much money is at stake. Well, I might care, but it would have to be a whole hell of a lot of loot

yeah i see your point...but i think because its only 50 bucks, that might make it easier. if it were a grand or something that would be too conflicting maybe. i dunno

    20 19 18 17 16 15 14 13 12 11
    30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22 21

works for me. PM the other guys that were interested and see if that works.

Might be easier to try and get people's cell numbers/emails. then just contact them when it's their pick.

not sure what the best way is.

we need to figure out money before draft
i think with only 7 people
we could only do 30 a person
no monthly payout for most monthly wins
    winner gets pot= 210 ( 180 mailed to him )

to miss a few games shouldn't affect our picks
but all 7 gotta post when they can do it friday and we try then

i can do it anytime tomorrow up until 6pm
    sat anytime

i'm workin on how to produce a random draft order
    any ideas?

I'm gonna be at phils game tomorrow so I won't be back til around 5 or 6 (if no rain delays). and I'm going to the game saturday.

we could use google docs for the draft. you just need people's email so we can send out an invite. that is prob best way to do draft.

random draft order is gonna have to be honor system by whoever picks it
