myself, my wife, and 2 other great fans from montreal waited for hours on end at the side bus entrance for a chance to say hello, or an autograph. (i brought a silver sharpie and my camden skull poster to montreal in case it happened) we waited, waited, then after a few hours walked around back for a peak and we see the tour bus drove up a ramp in back. the security guard told us we just missed eddie and he signed something for all 10-15 people there and talked, took requests, and even called someone's child for their birthday.....they said he was great! soooooooooooooooooooooooooo that was the closet to ever getting an autograph or shaking eddie's hand and i'm now resigned to the fact that it will now never happen........to add insult to injury i could only go up for one show b/c of commitments so we had to fly in the day of the show and fly out the next morning.....i couldn't even try day 2 in montreal. oh well a great show!

How many hours were you waiting?

I think I may know where this line of questionning is going.

I said hello to him in NYC, I didn't have anything to autograph cause it was unexpected

I parked my car in the garage next to United Palace..saw a bus and a few fans waiting next to it, I figured If I wait a bit he might pop up. 20 Minutes later he came out to shake hands(not mine) cause he didn't make it all the way down the baracade, he did say whats up and waived

It was cool cause I had no plans...it was a chance encounter

He was wearing his cop sunglasses and was carrying the "Briefcase"

    Thats all I needed

I was thinking the SAME thing!!! Now...where did that thread go? ;)

    Take care,
I still want you all to "take care"--I am just damn tired of typing it.

That's more like waiting for a rock star next to their tour bus than it is a chance encounter.

I met him in Montreal, after the show. I waited a little while then had enough, started to walk off w/ a friend, and Ed came out the door on the opposite side of the building, where we just happened to be walking by, getting into a van. Being one of 4 or 5 lucky people, I luckily kept my cool long enough to express my gratitude for his music and inspiration. I got a "you're beautiful" in return. Wow, just WOW!!! :)
