save your Hartford rants, it was a decent show....Ed was chatty, but it was a pretty weird setlist, I'm sure casual fans hated the set. But DC's got it going on, best show I've heard in a while.

And why would you worry about a casual fan if you're not one?

I would think almost 10,000 posts means you're not. I love DC too, but I don't worry about the casual fan.

DC was sick. The solo's for Black and Alive were some of the best I've ever seen. While I loved the show and had a ball, I think I was a bit too intoxicated to realize just how wonderful it was. I'll definitely be cutting back on the boozing, etc. on future tours.

RVM was the best I have ever heard. Alot of energy at this show from the crowd and the band.

    Totally agree!

Stone, Jeff and Matt were super tight. Best I’ve ever seen of them playing together. They fueled the jams in songs like never before. Only took 10 years!!

Matt = his best ever with PJ. Great drumming, great sound!

Songs like Corduroy, RVM and I Got Shit = off the fucking hook!

    DC RULED :)

i totally agree, and not just because it was the only show i attended on the tour. the sound just really came through on the bootleg. those opening notes in hard to imagine are hair raising. i'm listening to one of the boston shows right now and it just doesn't compare. however, one of the MSG shows i listened to is pretty fucking loud and crazy.

It's nice to see the DC show getting some love. I think b/c DC was followed by NYC, Hartford, and Boston it got lost somewhere in the shadows. The hype of NYC really buried what was a truly great show and setlist in DC....my opinion.

    Where were your seats?

i was sitting on stone's side of the stage probably about 20 rows back up off the floor. maybe 6-7 rows from the hockey boards. there was a couple from PA there and some guys from boston.

I was floor, row 19, center stage on Ed's mic... The seats were awesome, and all of the people around me were cool, aside from the drunk d-bag behind me. The show was great, probably my second favorite behind Gorge Night 1 06 that I have been to.

DC boot was weird for me. Eddie sounded either sick, loaded and tired but only for the 1st half. He must of taken something backstage because the encores were the best I heard on this tour, including a great Come Back.

All in all I like this one but thought SC was the best to my suprise.

It is good to see this show getting the credit it deserves.

By far the best of the tour when you take into account ALL the required elements of a great show:

    Song selection
    Song performance
    Crowd participation

The DC version of Black gives me chills.......it was amazing.

That was just one of the many highlights of that show for me.....RVM was pretty sick too.

Listening to the boot now for the first time actually.

I was at the show, won the lottery, 2nd row dead center. Awesome show that no words can describe, got an ed pick too.

Didn't even realize they did an I,I,I, U,U,U song selection until a few days later :)
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

that's awesome. i was feeling lucky that show. i thought maybe since it was the only show i was going to that i'd get the lottery. alas it wasn't meant to be, but my seats were pretty fucking rad.

Haven't heard it yet, but just going by the set list it would definitely be near the top of the list for song selection.

    Light Years
    Evacuation
    Green Disease
    You Are
    U
    Grievance
    Watchtower

That's a pretty good selection of more rarely played tunes.

Still haven't heard You Are live.
I suggest you step out on your porch...run away my son...see it all...oh see the world...
