I saw a commerical for "Stand Up to Cancer" recently with Rise in it.
But I don't see Ed as one of the performers for the telethon on Sept 5th

Wouldn't you rather he stayed home to work on the PJ songs for the new cd?

Don't these yahoos know that Sheryl Crow CAUSES cancer???

How Eddie got himself mixed up in this sappy, show biz muckfest is beyond me -- just play a benefit for a hospice, for St. Jude's, for the uninsured, Eddie, on your own. But the charity single with BEYONCE, and MARIA CAREY, man, I'll bet SNL CAN'T WAIT to get back on the air after seeing this thing.

Eddie honey, you're getting a LITTLE TOO Joe Hollywood!!! :)

Ed would have to quit smoking first in order to perform at a stop cancer event ;)

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

I don't know if this has it's own thread yet but he is going to be on this show. It's on next Friday, Sept. 5th.

He's listed in the ad for it in UsWeekly as one of the performers. The one with Shannen Doherty on the cover.

And wow-Mrs Oakley. You know Sheryl Crow is a cancer survivor? I don't like her either but cancer is nothing to make a joke of. I have 2 family members that died from it and there are many cancer survivors and people battling the disease on this very board.
That is uncalled for at the very least, and crass and insensitive, to put it mildly.

What? if a cure for cancer can be found due to the money they get donated during this show, then the hell with another PJ cd...personally, I'd like both the cure and the cd.

There are some things more important than Pearl Jam... Finding a cure is certainly one of those things.

I just typed [stand up to cancer] into the Google search box on Firefox, the box that offers you choices while you're typing, and the second choice was [stand up to cancer song]. Way to go Ed! People want to know what your song is.

Then I clicked the link to the S^2C site and saw a flash object loading. I thought, hey cool here comes Rise, and then a much louder and more TV-ey song came out. Lame.

    Looking forward to this.
