pre-ordered mine, got the shipping confirmation today but it still takes 4-8 weeks
nothing beats the feeling of going into the shop and buying it on the day, did that with LO10L - my mum bought it for me - and we listened to it in the car on the way home, it was good
do we know if anyone has emailed sony to ask why they seem to be handling this so badly and havent even bothered to email anyone with an apology or reason?
I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

Well I wrote them again about the delay and if we should expect more. I'm not freaking out or anything but for that much money i'd rather be kept informed.
They haven't responded yet.
Also the 10C should have the same patience and understanding we have the next time someone is late for renewal of their membership. Just saying it would be nice.
