Chant for DC

Let's welcome the boys back to the mid-atlantic in style.

My idea is a chant from shortly after the opening act, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, leave the stage until the band makes its appearance.

So, what do we chant?

What do you think about the idea? Post your suggestions for the chant and lets see if we can get it going.

By the time DC rolls around, this'll be a little old, IMO.

Seeing as it's DC, I would say something political; I know some people are tired of the political talk at PJ shows, but it is DC in an election year and I'm sure the band (Ed for sure) would get a kick out of it.

    I was initially thinking "Let's Go O's"

but I remember some of the European boots had the

    OLE OLE OLE

referenced earlier. That would be cool.

Looks like that one could be it. So, we chant "NO MORE WAR".

Ok, so now Phase II -- who's gonna get the chant started with me? We really should get as many people from the forum to commit to this. If there are 20 or 30-plus people trying to start the chant, it should take off around the arena.

    Anyone gonna help?

If I hear it started, I'll certainly help out for a No More War chant.

i am listening to the roo show right now and at the end of a song, ed starts his rant about W. in the backgroud, you can hear "fuck george bush, fuck george bush..." seems fitting, i would get in on that.

of course, we could always go with the staple "stone" chant...

Well, I think "No More Ware" would get more participation than "Fuck George Bush" - and it ties in with a song from their repetoire.

Oh, and consider this a *BUMP* to get some more exposure. Who's in for the chant?

I'll be there and I am down with the "No More War" chant.

I say would do it in the same style as Ed ends the actual song:

    NO MORE...No More War...NO MORE...No More War...
