This is the written version of the video.
Get ready Pearl Jam fans, they are coming out with a new album! Details next on Clevver Music!
I'm Brian Corsetti for Clevver Music. Bassist Jeff Ament will take his first trip to SXSW later this week with his new side band, Tres Mts. This is just the tip of the iceberg of a hectic 2011 schedule for Pearl Jam and its members -- one which Ament tells Billboard.com will hopefully include a brand new Pearl Jam album and a solo tour by frontman Eddie Vedder. Don't forget this is in addition to the already announced Cameron Crowe-directed Pearl Jam documentary, official book, and weekend festival to celebrating the band's 20th anniversary. Throw in a new Eddie Vedder solo album, and the finishing touches on Jeff Aments second solo album, and you've got a very full schedule for the Seattle based band.
All of the new action starts in April, when Pearl Jam will begin recording the follow up to 2009's "Backspacer," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, but also to announce the location and other details for the Pearl Jam Twenty festival. All this madness will most likely take place on or around Labor Day weekend. Pearl Jam's plans to hit the studio next month, and April will be the time where we get together and learn to play all their chart topping hits.
Frontman Eddie Vedder, who is currently on tour in Australia, will probably be hitting the road solo again this year. Vedder, meanwhile, has also made a new solo album likely due in the coming months.

This pre-announcement period has to be my least productive time of the year at work. That plus when the dates are announced, when the tickets are sold, when I get my tickets, when I get to the show, when I get my bootleg... In other words I'm able to concentrate on work about half the time during a year.
