At least it made the list at #13 - but I agree that it should have been ranked higher (like #1!) ;)

    How about Clockwork Orange?

"I wanna marry a Lighthouse Keeper" may be the best song ever!

Nice to see "Once" up there, but "Singles" should be way higher or at #1, many of them I don't get at all... also missing is "Run Lola Run" which is an awesome soundtrack.

First off, any list that has the Big Chill on it is automatically disqualified as authoritative, relevant, or worthwhile.

Almost Famous out of the top 20?! Embarrassing.

Where the hell is I Am Sam? Some of the best covers of Beatles tunes that have ever been recorded.

And throwing up Do the Right Thing? Just sad. Hustle and Flow, maybe? After all, 3-6 Mafia won an Oscar for it . :)
Rise. Life is in motion. I'm stuck in line.
Oh rise. You can't be neutral on a moving train.

    Stand By Me...
    Harold & Maude...
    Into the Wild (biased)...
    Purple Rain...
    Forrest Gump...
    Almost Famous...
KISS Meets The Phantom of the Park...

    All should be mentioned

Well maybe not the last one...

I disagree with you about the Do the Right Thing soundtrack. Public Enemy kicked all sort of ass on that one especially with Fight the Power.

Into the Wild should have made it if Juno and Once did. I would have disqualified it for being to new, but personally its in my top 10. Singles should have been top 5.

no way. the once soundtrack shits all over into the wild. never has a soundtrack stood so powerfully on its own while at the same time being so perfectly integrated into its film.

"Singles" is my favorite soundtrack ever, but my second and third in rank are:

    2. Pulp Fiction
    3. Forrest Gump

Typical media list trying to please everybody yet pleasing no one at the same time!

    you forgot purple rain

Ditto! Of course. Usually Purple Rain makes the #1 spot in movie soundtrack countdowns. I also think that the Velvet Goldmine soundtrack is awesome, although it could be on the list and I don't know, because I don't have a working plug-in for it.

I'm shocked that "Saturday Night Fever" doesn't even make their top 25.
Sure its disco and quite dated now, but at the time it was huge, and a lot of the songs are still wedding staples and such.

For me Singles is #1, but I won't argue with their choice of Purple Rain, but there's some others in there that I'd argue.

What's even more disturbing is that neither "Into the Wild" or "Harold and Maude" are on the list.
