Two, one with feathers inside and the other with some other stuff - I prefer the second one :)

What kind of duvets do you have? (it's funny to talk about our beds  )
  • unlost dogsunlost dogs Greater Boston Posts: 12,553
I know! It's a gray, raw day here and I did laundry and just made up my bed and was thinking that I might buy a new sheet set just to change it up a little, then I started thinking about pillows, etc...

I have a couple of puffy comforters that I alternate. Nothing that's expensive or fancy, though, since the dogs are allowed up on the beds. (They're very clean.) But whatever I buy has to stand up to washing once a week, so I tend to go with something durable. In the warmer weather I have a couple of thick cotton bedspreads, solid colors (sage green, dark red).

    What's on your nightstand/bedside table?

    Books, clock and a lamp.

    What's on yours?
  • unlost dogsunlost dogs Greater Boston Posts: 12,553
(PD: Playing cards, greeting cards, or cards of wool?_

Me: Two clocks, one lamp, an iPhone recharger, a bottle of water, and maybe six books.

Is your bedroom clean enough right this second, that if I walked in and said, "Hey, let's see your bedroom!" you could oblige and not be embarrassed?

Nothing in the bedroom. But in the dining room, some things in a curio cabinet. I'm having the gorgeous poster sent from Irish Al (my Secret Santa) framed and I want to hang it in the dining room next to the fireplace. Not sure where I'll put my Boston 2010 poster.

Describe what's on the walls in your living room, if you would.

So the question before was about the bedroom? There I have no PJ stuff except for the EV pic.

In my living room I have two EV solo posters (the rocket and the batman car one), the PJ poster with the car at the beach - they are hanging above my desk, then there is the 2010 Berlin poster, and a calendar with old movie stars, another one with pics of old movie theatres in Berlin that my father made, on the other wall a big framed disco ad from Spain featuring Marylin Monroe and the other wall is plastered with bookshelves.

    Now describe yours! :D

We don't have a lot of wall space in our living room, as two of the four walls are open to the foyer and the dining room, the third wall has three windows, and the fourth wall has three windows, including a big picture window. But I've still found room for a ceramic plate with a cartoon black Lab wearing a party hat and carrying a bone in its mouth, a whimsical clock with a smiling sun face, and a pendulum with a smiling crescent moon, a nicely framed portrait of the original three unlost dogs, and a signed original by the late Stephen Huneck of a yellow Lab sitting on a beach under an umbrella, seemingly unaware of a person in the water calling for help (it's titled "The Lifeguard"). And propped up on the sill of one of the leaded glass windows are two of Sailor's championship plaques and Tessie's 1,000 point title plaque.

    Do you have any houseplants?

What kind of trees do you have on your property?

None on ours, but immediately adjacent to ours you will find a huge pine tree, lots of maples and a few oaks here and there. More maples than anything else.

Last time you climbed a tree?
