Staying logged into forums

Does anyone else have a problem staying logged in? I use the forums at home and at work and I used to stay logged into both places. Now every time I get an email that someone has replied to a thread I am taken to a page where I am not logged in. Then just clicking on "login" logs me in.

Sometimes when I actually do have to sign in, I don't see a place you can click to stay signed in.

Any help would be appreciated.

usually have no problems but sometimes listening to live radio the web shows I'm logged out. But: refresh the page and everything's fine...

ever since they switched the theme on here from Backspacer to PJ20, I have to log in over and over again, especially when using Firefox. I will be logged in, go to reply to a PM or a thread, type the entire dang thing, and hit submit and then it will tell me to log in. When I click "back" to get my message that I typed, it doesnt let me.
I feel your frustration but I am guessing its something in my settings or with my laptop and not the forum functionality at fault

I absolutely have this problem and it's annoying as hell. If you are idle for a certain period of time it logs you out. Occasionally I used to be taken to a page where it asked for my credentials and then had a check box that said "keep me logged in" or something like that but I can't seem to figure out how to get to that again. I've tried clearing my forum cookies also to no avail.

I can't find that box to check either.

I don't have this problem with Safari. The only thing that has changed for me is that I used to be automatically logged in when I opened the page or the browser, and I now have to login each time. In the meantime, the opposite happened with the IPhone app : I used to have to login even though I already appeared as logged in when I wanted to post a reply, and it's no longer the case. Odd.

I think it's the site. I never had problems til they switched everything up. I'd stay signed in on my phone and pc.

Mods, is there a way to stay logged in anymore?

    Thanks!

Check my history, I don't do much complaining, but this absolutely sucks.

I'm big on 'check recent posts', now I have to log in all day long to check, and when I click it.... no posts, cause they haven't accumulated since I last was logged out.

Mark me down as unhappy about this new development.

I wonder what the reasoning is. Maybe it was just an oversight when they upgraded the forums. But if they are really trying to make it more secure, it doesn't make sense in my case because a lot of times when I click from an email to the thread it will say I have to log in and just clicking "login" logs me.
