Oh please Ed lets play this at the Milwaukee Riverside show. The songs lyrics came from the local Milwaukee band The Frogs. Oh how sweet it would be to hear it next month here in Brewtown. :)

It doesn't hurt to ask. :D

They've played Smile at all 3 shows I've been to in Wisconsin, but a solo performance would be really cool.

Nah... unless Jeff comes out I think the chance of this is 0... but I'll hope for it nonetheless.

Sorry - after being in LA for the West Coast shows... I would rather people not expect PJ songs (and then be surprised) as opposed to the (many) people who scream out song titles all night long (Footsteps, Dirty Frank, Leash, etc, etc, etc).

But, yes, I would LOVE to hear that at the Milwaukee show!

Be nice if he changes it up a little bit. Either way it will be a great time. :)

a little bit would be great... for all of the changes we expect between shows for PJ... if Eddie did 1/4 of the changes it would be a victory ;)

lol they played at my college and i had never heard them before outside of the cover of RVM... so when they played I was kind of excited to see the infamous band that gave ed the bat wings.. well... meh haha...

I did manage to talk to the singer afterwards and mentioned that I was a big fan of pearl jam and that they should of played RVM, and he was kind of a dick to me about it, lol.

edit: also the lyrics were from a note that the singer left in ed's notebook.

Based on what? The 3 songs you heard? They have thousands of songs over a 28 year career, many of them improvisations that your favorite bands could never come up with in a million years. So get a fucking clue.

I'm sure The Frogs love it when people (who don't even know who the Frogs are) walk up to them after a show and start asking them questions about Pearl Jam and The Smashing Pumpkins. That would be like walking up to Mike and asking him a million questions about Eddie. So I would have been a dick to you too.

    LOL

By the way, the band has two singers (you would know this if you knew anything about them) so I don't know which one you're talking about.

And you must be one of them, judging from your ridiculous, outlandish reaction to these posts.

    Sorry they insulted you, Dennis.

Maybe the band actually has fans who KNOW SOMETHING about them. Have you considered that?

or maybe by opening for PJ and covering PJ it has opened up a new relm of people who may be interested in seeing them live and in person, not being too familiar with them, wanting to talk to them and asking them a question based on a "common ground"

it's a great way to make new fans and friends

Harp is the key of G. Horner Marine Band. It's a good one to have...Smile, Driftin', Hide Your Love Away, Footsteps,...bunch of Neil songs too! It would be a good song to throw in to make the Milwaukee setlist unique!

I was thinking the same thing once the solo tour was announced. Not sure if it will happen as he hasn't played it at any solo show but with the Milwaukee tie, it's a possibility. Would be pretty special if it was only played in Milwaukee. 2 days, can't wait, plus the Cubs have a nice lead on the Brewers!!!
