If you had to choose 1 boot from the tour...

which one would you suggest buying? I have been a fan since 1992 (was actually one of the earliest members of the fan club). I rediscovered Live on Two Legs last week, and now I want to splurge on one boot from this past tour. I don't have the funds to buy more than that, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Call me crazy, but I LOVE the stuff from No Code so I am looking for the boot with songs from that.

Thank you!

    Is that sarcasm? I don't understand...sorry

Sarcasm yes. Just read a few of the other topics and you will see why. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the boots

As for which show, I was at Bonnaroo and only puruchased that one....which I would say is a good option, but others have gotten rave reviews as well. Go to the Given to Fly forum and you can check out setlists and fanviews to help you with your decision

Roo and D.C. are the only 3 disc shows....both are great. Hartford is good too. Those are def the top 3 of the tour IMO.

I should also say that I love the banter from Ed..so I would like to get the one which sees the band in the best of moods with a chatty Ed. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Ed talks a good bit on Bonnaroo although not mostly upbeat stuff. The speech he gives during Porch is one of the most classic Ed moments of all time in my opinion...really good stuff there

I think Hartford is the best boot all-around, but Columbia had some great No Code songs (Off He Goes, Red Mosquito and Present Tense...my three favorite songs off that album).

Hartford really is great though, I like it a lot better than Bonnaroo because the band is just on fire.

I was at 4 shows this tour, and bought 6 boots ...

If I HAD to choose JUST one boot ... that is not easy, but, I'd say:

    HARTFORD
I was alone and far away when I heard the band start playing!

...I was always a DeadHead, but when I first heard Winston Rodney, aka the Burning Spear, sing, I became a SpearHead too!

Columbia is good for 4 songs off No Code. Some good banter from Eddie about hanging w/ Kings of Leon, South Carolina's mascot(the Cocks), and obviously some good anti war shit too!
