Yeah but let's just say they only do this weekend in AV and a hand full of shows in Canada those tickets for AV will be gone in MNTS from the time they go on Sale , you gotta figure at least double the amount of people that AV can accomodate will be going for those tickets ....
First of all, we don't even know how the tickets are gonna be distributed, e.g. how many tickets go to Ten Club and how many go to LiveNation, assuming they even make this a LiveNation event.
Second, I'd imagine if they did do it in the traditional "some for Ten Club, some for the public" style, Ten Club would have a LOT more seats to play with in the presale.
Third - I really don't think tickets for this will be any harder than they were for MSG. The thing with MSG is that since it's in the most populated area in the United States, and relatively easy to access, there are alot of people who aren't really *that* much into the band that decided to try for tickets. MSG generally has high scalping rates compared the Alpine and other venues too. I can promise anyone on this board - if you got into MSG, you can get into Alpine Valley.0 -

It will be a Live Nation event and the tickets will be easier to get than MSG2. First of all there are 20,000 more tickets to give out and 2nd New York is more of a hot spot to travel to than middle of nowhere Wisconsin.Member 164xxx

PJ will most likely only have rights to the seated section. But you are right they will sell out very fast unless the prices are much higher than normal like I suspect they will. It won't be that hard to get a lawn ticket though.Member 164xxx

Wish I could say I would be joining you out there but if its anywhere in between Aug 20th and Labor Day, I'm not gonna be able to make it. Even though I'll be only 9 hours from Alpine Valley. This is your notice that there is a problem with your signature. Please remove it.

Wouldn't it be cool if PJ did this as a free show - and were able to secure as many "free" 10C tickets as were needed?
No, not everyone would be able to be in the front row. We would all really have to get over that obsession for something like this and just be happy to get a couple tickets.0 -
Alpine Valley Music Theatre is a 37,000 capacity amphitheatre, in East Troy, Wisconsin. The seasonal venue was built in 1977 and it features a characteristic wooden roof, covering the 7,500-seat pavilion and a sprawling lawnRedMosquito22 wrote:SPEEDY MCCREADY wrote:7,500 people in seats.....

thank you for saying exactly what i did :P0 -
A gig is a gig is a gig is a gig.
Wherever they play someone will bitch about it.
Just relax and go with the flow. Try to believe in the good intentions they have to put on a great show and make it memorable and enjoyable. I'm sure they believe the venue is the best one for the occassion and they will therefore be going all out to make it a night to remember.
And camping for one night won't kill you, will it?we're all going to the same place...0 -
I happen to agree with you.neilybabes86 wrote:
my whole point is that once its announced the shit is gonna hit the fan when many people get stuck with lawn tickets and cant find hotel's and so on
and dont start with the camping nonsense ..most people would like a bed and shower
its fine for a few regular shows..but this so called "historic event" should be held in a location that makes better sense
..namely a place that can accomodate all of us that will be traveling0 -

So what is the realistic estimate of people going? 15K? That seems high to me....think people are overstimating this thing.0
