If it's any consolation it's a super easy drive to Milwaukee once you are out of the lot.

I'm thinking that I'll probably end up staying in Milwaukee.

haha ..once you are out of the lot means 2 hours in the lot

Therein lies a lot of the appeal of the venue though, outside of the sound being quite good for an ampitheatre. The pre and post show party in the parking lot with other fans, it's a good time.
  • I'm wondering if ALL 10 Club tickets will be seats or if those of us with a shitty # will be sent to the lawn area.

Touring Band DVD has Alpine aka Troy, WI in it. They play Dissident and that was the coldest show I have every been too. It was like 30 degrees that night.

A lot of people are making assumptions. What makes you think 10C wouldn't just "sell out" of their allotted tickets before going to the lawn? I think there's a greater chance of being shut out of the 10C presale than getting 10C lawn tickets.

It sounds like most of the hotels near Alpine are already booked for the last weekend in August and Labor Day weekend. Looks like if and when this is officially announced I'll be staying very far away from the venue. Which kind of sucks but oh well.

If it's true that most of the hotels are already booked around Alpine & that 10club doesn't have any hotel packages/deals for this special event, then it's not gonna look so good. Not every PJ fan is on the message board 24/7. Many just wait for that email from 10club about show dates & when tickets go on sale, plus many just wait to hear it on their local radio station. If tickets go on sale for this PJ20 event and everything around Alpine is already booked, there's gonna be a lot of sad & upset fans.

I just checked within the last few hours and I know there were a couple hotels in Burlington (sp?) which was only 12.88 miles away. one of them I remember was: 1 nights amount deposit required, refundable if cancelled within 72 hours @ the Hampton Inn. 129/night. Around 13 miles isn't too bad, esp. since the ones in/around East Troy are booked.

No matter where& when there will be plenty of people who will not even sniff tickets to this event, just think about it if this is only one of what like 10 total shows they might do in all of North America their is just not enough tickets for the demand ....Specially for a weekend of shows unless some how they work out a deal with Venues to make these shows 10C members only ....

    vedder girl....

as i was saying... wisconsin isn't gonna work

This is my only concern...having to drive an hour to a hotel after the shows end. I was told that there are other events going on around that area those weekends.

its gonna be a huge problem and its gonna suck for those who have to deal w/ it
any major city has the hotels and transportation to make it work

I'd love to see them come out and announce it somewhere else......that shit would be funny!!

A nice big "fuck you" to all the "unofficial rumors"!
    That would make me smile!

I am still pulling for The Gorge. Neily would hate that venue too. ;)

It would work just fine. How is it that this place has successful shows every year? How would this be ANY different at all?

Trust me, the Porch has had enough of you too. :P
