For concerts that might take place 6 months from now.......

yeah, those people are idiots....I meant the band....I don't think there is going to be a bunch of "special guests" and bullshit like some people think....I think it will be much more low key.
    What has cracked me up???

Had pearl Jam announced that they were only playing 2-3 shows this year....People would have been furious....

Instead they may only play 2-3 shows....But they call it Pearl-Jam-A-Palooza.....

And people think its the greatest thing since sliced bread......

  • One would think they'd want to make it more of a hometown type of thing and play the Gorge. That's where my vote goes.

And knowing this band, and how they announce tours and shows....

I can see 10,000 people make a trip to Wisconsin, for 2-3 shows...
Only to have 15 more concerts announced the following week.......

    it just stinks... :(

Yes PJ, quit being dicks and play in this persons front yard. It isn't fair that you are playing in a spot in the middle of the country.

To the guy who said "PJ will come back home to the Northeast". What?

Isn't the group from Seattle? With ties to San Diego?

    Is that in the NE?

Entitlement is a great word. I've suffered thru 5 weeks of rude, obnoxious, pushy people in Conn.

The cops, waiters, business owners are all cool. But the people are self richeous ass holes.

Exactly! Call it a festival and it has suddenly become larger than life.

And caused quite the ruckus too.

you been around long enough to know how it goes....I swear some people pay their $20 (or $40) just to come on here and bitch....I have learned not to sweat shit....they play where they want to, when they want to, and if i have money to see them, i go see them.

Pearl Jam A Palooza! hahaha...yeah..that's what i'm talking about...people think it's gonna be a big blow out and i just don't see that being the case...I could be wrong...but knowing how the band is, i just can't see it.

I guess you didn't get the memo...Boston is "Seattle East"
  • i have faith that everything will work out just fine.
The powers that do the decision making probably have thought and re-thought this out and whatever they come up with will be in their opinion the best possible decision for all interested parties. I have never been to Alpine Valley or East troy or any of the surrounding areas so i am not going to pass any judgements on whether this will be a nightmare or not. (though i doubt very much it will suck)

everything will be okay NB --- everyone will be just fine ..... even you.

    I know one thing.....

The Pavillion at Alpine holds 7500 people....

How many fan club members will be trying for tickets??? I would make a guess of 8-10,000...Sounds about right???

So thats 3,700 or so fan club members getting 2 tickets each, for the pavillion(as long as the 10club follows the same policy it has used for years)......

And 6,300 or so fan club members getting lawn seats.......
    Take me piece by piece.....

Has anyone with 10C tickets ever had lawn seats at Alpine? I think they would have to cut it off at a certain point to prevent people from having lawn 10C tix. I would rather get shut out then showing up the day of the show and finding otu I have a lawn ticket. What makes you think 10C would want an allocation of lawn tickets anyway?

    Neily,

Why don't you want it to be at Alpine? Is it because you don't want to travel, dont like the venue, don't want to wait in the parking lot after the show? etc....

Would you be happier if it was in Chicago ? Just curious....

  • OK FUCK IT!!! We are going to have to make them have this in NY or Boston...either place would be much better equipped to handle the mass of people who are going to want to attend this event!! and it's kind of still in the middle...of the world!....for the people coming from over seas.
