Hey, its okay.... I'm sure Maroon 5 and Avril Lavigne will play some East Coast dates that will be better suited to your travel needs.

All is not lost.0 -

Exactly! So, knowing that there will always be east coast dates in the future, how 'bout you give the AV hate a rest and let the people that are crazy about the idea, be EXCITED!! The band loves AV.neilybabes86 wrote:ms. wes c.addle wrote:Hey, its okay.... I'm sure Maroon 5 and Avril Lavigne will play some East Coast dates that will be better suited to your travel needs.

Alpine is a beautiful venue and Pearl Jam has neglected it for FAR too long.
In that time, the Northeast has been nothing but spoiled.
The people that truly WANT to be at Alpine Valley will be there. End of story.0 -

The spoiled thing I could care less about because I live in Chicago and we get our fair share of shows but Alpine Valley is a great venue. The sound is great there.0 -

my whole point is that once its announced the shit is gonna hit the fan when many people get stuck with lawn tickets and cant find hotel's and so on
and dont start with the camping nonsense ..most people would like a bed and shower
its fine for a few regular shows..but this so called "historic event" should be held in a location that makes better sense
..namely a place that can accomodate all of us that will be travelingi post on the board of a band that doesn't exsist anymore .......i need my head examined.......0 -

I third this motion...
I like showers, and beds, and being able to go to a bar...
The costs of getting to a place like Alpine Valley are going to be ridiculous compared to if this event was held somewhere more accomodating...
When the annoucement is made I'm going to have to look at exactly how all the financials will work out but, for example, I know I can do Lollapalooza (with a traveling companion) with a plane tickets, hotel, concert tickets and spending monies for about $1000 bucks.... and I looks like Alpine Valley will cost me twice that (if not more if I can even get a hotel room... cause let's be honest, flying into somewhere and having to bring camping gear with you is just not a good situation... I've done it before, and it sucks....)Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -
