Questions I'd like answered (but anyone who gets thru, feel free to ask, as I'll be busy at work):
•Would you mind if during PJ20 that the band bring back all the drummers to play on their original album material, in a celebration of PJ's full and rich history? A "one time, one time only" scenario?
•Each of PJ's drummers have strong musical personalities, often playing songs much differently than the previous drummer(s). Some fans have strong preferences for some drummers. Do you mind people openly discussing which drummers they prefer?
•Mike was recently interviewed about LOXL, and said "Hopefully we can hang on to him", when talking about you in an interview on Triple M Radio. After drumming for 12+ years with the band, It seems strange that Mike would make that comment about you or any permanent member of the band (imagine him saying this about Jeff, Ed, or Stone too). Is there a reason Mike would be concerned that you may leave the band?
•In your most recent interview in Drum Magazine, the interviewer said that you "unabashedly" call Backspacer "the best Pearl Jam album to date". Can you explain more in depth why the Backspacer album is better than Ten, VS, Vitalogy, No Code, etc, etc, etc...
•PJ's albums have become more and more produced sounding. Is there any interest in recording the next album with similar recording simplicity as the PJ/Neil Young sessions, where it sounds like a live-mic'd room?

excellent questions!
would add...
1- you have been involved with two of the greatest Seattle Bands "PJ and SG" how would you describe in both scenarios (nowadays both rehearse/play at the same place):
A) musical creation
sound C) your participation level D) relationship w/ other members

Are you going to make a new Soundgarden record????!!!
lol... guess we already know that this interview is going to be DOPE!!!0 -
Matt,
Any chance PJ can follow in Social D's footsteps with recording the old fashioned way with a big board and tape instead of in a Pro Tools environment. Their new album sounds fantastic.Member 164xxx

someone should just try to ge tthe good dirt.
What's the story behind Of the Earth?
Can we expect resissues for all of the PJ albums?
When and where is the PJ Festival?“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”0 -

Oh my god... it would be hilarious if we just kept asking him questions for other drummers.
Matt, when you recorded "Red Mosquito" in the studio, is it true that it was recorded in one-take?
Matt, when Eddie jumped into the crowd in PinkPop '92, how did you know how long to jam the solo out for?
Matt, was Krusen upset that you took his gig?
Matt, who's idea was it for you to play with a trash can lid as a cymbal in 1995?
Matt, is that you counting off "1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4" at the beginning of "Brain Of J"?
Matt, is it true that you were the one who started the lawsuit against Ticketmaster for the band?
Matt, how many china cymbals have you broken?ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.
