I didn't read through this full thread so pardon if I repeat...

    - Easy Street Records [Queen Anne Area]
    - Silver Platters [Queen Anne area]
    - Duke's Chowder House, grab the chowder bread bowl [Alki Beach or downtown]
    - ... And make sure to go up to the top of the Space Needle when the sun starts to set. It does sound a bit touristy but it's worth the trip up!

    Have a good one!

Mmmmmmmmm Salmon Chowder at Duke's. Drool.

The lookout at Queen Anne was nice. Went to this nice Irish pub where these 2 guys played all these PJ tunes, but I have no idea what the pub's name was. Come on, Seattle peeps who were with me that night? That place you guys go for trivia? Line?

Loved the names of the items at the West Seattle Easy Street cafe.

I went to the Crocodile to take a photo of the sign, which is pretty much all you can do at the Croc. Unless if you wanna smash the window and pull out their shirt from the merch stand, which is right next to the front window.

I kept getting lost. Pretty disappointed to not find a black gospel church or a gun shop on my first visit to America though. I must be looking in the wrong city.

Oh, and if you and the wife decide to drink yourself nuts and need some food to finish it all off - go to Beth's off Aurora... great food at all hours of the night!

I am also going to Seattle for the first time next Thursday. My fiance is in town for the week with the tour he is on, so he is flying me out there for a long weekend. We are staying at the Paramount Hotel (his tour pays for his room). I know we are going to visit these falls one day: http://www.snoqualmiefalls.com/

I'm not sure what else we are going to do, but I am sure we will shop and eat at the market somewhere.

I am excited! Hope you enjoy :)

The falls are great if you can see them. I have been there three times and it was drizzle and foggy, so I have seen them up close, but not a good view from above.

If you like Chihuly go to the glass museum.

Its a trip but worth it if you like that kind of thing!

Just because your in the area.

If I had more time at the EMP, I would've just stood there and watched that thing where people sit in front of a camera and tell their stories about music fandom.

The foyer of the EMP, the part where you don't have to pay the entrance fee, has a collection of Ames Bros posters. Don't just go up the stairs right away. Turn around the corner from the ticket stand and marvel.

-Get bag of fresh cinnamon doughnuts at Daily Dozen Doughnut Company in Pike Market.
-Get the postcard Seattle view from Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill.
-Watch the boats (and sometimes salmon) at the Ballard Locks. While you're there, enjoy a NW micro-brew at the Lockspot.
-Happy Hour at Ivar's Acres of Clams or Salmon House.
    -Eat seafood (Anthony's, Duke's, Elliott's, Emmett's, Chandler's, Salty's...)
    -Visit the Olympic Sculpture Park.
-Head east and see Snoqualmie Falls. Go to Snoqualmie Falls Brewery too -- they have AWESOME beer.
    -Take a ferry ride.
-Take in a show downtown (Showbox Market/Sodo, the Moore, the Paramount) and go to Dick's Drive-In after the show to feed the appetite you worked up rockin' out.
-Take in a M's game at Safeco and tailgate beforehand at the Pyramid beer garden across the street.

    {I just noticed that almost all my suggestions include beer and/or food!}

We fell in love with Seattle (love Pike Market and Pioneer square) and the people were just so great, thank so much and can't wait to go back hopefully a Pearl Jam show.
