93.7 in minneapolis used to do a show once a week called a to z. back in 95 they did pearl jam. played ten, vs, vitalogy and all the b-sides from that era. also tossed in some of the fan club singles. so i guess the most obscure pj i've heard on the radio would be sonic reducer or let me sleep it's christmas time.ransom paid the devil he whispers pleasing words
mpls 6-30-98 w/frank black and the catholics
st paul 6-16-03 w/idlewild

when i use to listen to FM radio (when it was good) i remember hearing Glorified G and Rats... this is era between Vs and Vitalogy.
Matt Chord from WMMR (Philly) played half of Vitalogy on the air a while before the record came out (maybe it was the vinyl version he played). i remember sitting in my room hearing Spin The Black Circle and Tremor Christ (from the single) along with Corduroy, Nothingman, Better Man, and Whipping. he'd also play Yellow Ledbetter before it got huge (from the Daughter single), Crazy Mary, Dirty Frank.... always loved his show, Planet M.0 -
rarest i've heard here in ct are i got shit, rearviewmirror, glorified g, and ed's version of hide your love away. besides that it's always even flow, alive, jeremy, betterman, daughter, or ledbetter. occasionally solat.2006: Hartford

I'm assuming that this was on 88.5. it's the only good radio station in Ottawa (besides cbc). They generally play pretty good stuff on the weekends. I guess that this was especially for 4-20...? On Saturday's 'Ongoing History of New Music' (sindicated from the edge), he had the history of grunge. They played two temple of the dog songs, and the Mammasan demo tape. I thought that that was a pretty rare occurrence for the radio. Good to hear from another fan in Ottawa...Post edited by Child Of The 90s on0 -
heard "In Hiding" on 101.9 in NYC the other day, a pretty decent new station by the way"Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"
When you see me on the street, yell out "FAVO!!!"
I've been to alot of Pearl Jam shows; So fucking what.0 -
My cousin works at the radiostation in my town and he has his own radioprogram for 2 hours. I told him to play I am Mine and Betterman. They are not that rare, are they?
Oh, I forgot. He once played Lukin. Just for me. Is actually in to all kind of music, but not Rock and Roll... :PIt's okay, It's okay
You don't have to run and hide away
It's okay, it's okay
I love you anyway

Well, if I were to do an album-by-album breakdown of what gets played in the Central Florida area, there would be no sense in including anything from their albums after Vitalogy. It would look like this:
Ten: Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Black
Vs.: Daughter, Dissident, Small Town
Vitalogy: Corduroy, Better Man
Other: Yellow Ledbetter, I Got IdCan't escape from the common rule...
If you hate something, don't you do it too0 -
I was in jumbo video (if your not canadian, it's like a cheap man's blockbuster) the other week, and they had the radio on and they were playing all those yesterdays.
I thought it was WICKED COOL!0 -
I remember recording all of Vs. off the radio two weeks before it came out, they played it with limited commercial interruption on some station around here, it's been a long time.4.6.94 Springfield 4.12.94 Boston III (Orpheum) 10.2.96 Hartford 9.16.98 Mansfield II 8.29.00 Mansfield I 7.11.03 Mansfield III 9.29.04 Boston II 5.24.06 Boston I 6.30.08 Mansfield II0

I know XM does a better job than the fm stations on playing more than just the hits, but I was still shocked (and pleasantly surprised) to hear Lowlight on the XM station Lucy this past Sunday night about 11:20pm EDT.Chicago 07/11/95; Fort Lauderdale 10/07/96; Chicago 06/29/98; St. Louis 07/02/98; Katowice 06/15/00; West Palm Beach 04/11/03; Tampa 04/13/03; West Palm Beach 06/11/08; Tampa 06/12/08; Miami 04/09/16; Hollywood 04/26/250

93.1 XRT is featuring Pearl Jam this Friday. They will play 1 or 2 PJ songs every hour.
