Cool! I heard WMA once. It's not the most obscure PJ song but for it to be on the radio was great.

The local station plays a block of PJ every night at 10 pm so you here some obscure stuff then, but during regular radio hours the most obscure song I've ever heard was Hard to Imagine around lunchtime once.

last weekend here in Philly on 104.5 before playing Nothingman they had a recorded comment saying something like 'here is a song that shows all the other stations that Pearl Jam recorded more than 6 songs' - i thought that was pretty good.

WMMR 93.3 in philly plays a block at 10:00 every monday-thursday. Matt Cord is the DJ and loves PJ and plays a ton of them. Even when he does another shift filling in for someone he plays a PJ song like every hour. Last week he was on midday and I heard him play "I've Got a Feeling".

We got it pretty good here in Philly for PJ - we get a ton played and not just the Evenflow, Jeremy and Alive.

The Grand Rapids station played all of No Code before it's release during the 5 o'clock rush hour in 96. SO I've heard Mankind- I'm Open-Around the Bend in order.

    Suck on that gang..

A local radio station used to play entire live albums from the 2000 tour, uncut and commercial free in wee hours of the morning.

Other than that I recently heard a live version of Crazy Mary played during rush hour. That was particularly cool especially considering the radio stations around here play enough Nickleback, Puddle of Mudd, Finger Eleven, Hinder, and Seether to make me want to drive my car into a birdge embankment.

I'm sitting in my car, in line at an Arby's, this was quite a few years ago. "Let Me Sleep, It's Christmastime" starts playing. I thought it was 103.5 (my college radio station) but my dial had it on The River (it's 105.9 now, I don't think that's what it was back then.) It was around Christmas, but odd.

Not Pearl Jam, but Mad Season's November Hotel was my "I've got to go to the bathroom" or "it's time to smoke a butt" song when I had a radio show on 103.5.

I heard it yesterday too! We were on the way back from the beach and they played on a radio station near Montgomery, AL. I was totally shocked. Usually all you hear around there is Tim McGraw. :) Not to knock Montgomery, hell, I'm from Birmingham. :)

the first time i ever went to jimmy johns (a sub sandwich kinda place) i heard "get right" which is one of my favorites off riot act. kinda weird to hear though. my girlfriend works in the pharmacy at walmart and has heard yellow ledbetter and alive while working. typically i don't listen to the radio though. too much acdc, metallica and nickel back for me.

  • 93.7 in minneapolis used to do a show once a week called a to z. back in 95 they did pearl jam. played ten, vs, vitalogy and all the b-sides from that era. also tossed in some of the fan club singles. so i guess the most obscure pj i've heard on the radio would be sonic reducer or let me sleep it's christmas time.

when i use to listen to FM radio (when it was good) i remember hearing Glorified G and Rats... this is era between Vs and Vitalogy.

Matt Chord from WMMR (Philly) played half of Vitalogy on the air a while before the record came out (maybe it was the vinyl version he played). i remember sitting in my room hearing Spin The Black Circle and Tremor Christ (from the single) along with Corduroy, Nothingman, Better Man, and Whipping. he'd also play Yellow Ledbetter before it got huge (from the Daughter single), Crazy Mary, Dirty Frank.... always loved his show, Planet M.

I'm assuming that this was on 88.5. it's the only good radio station in Ottawa (besides cbc). They generally play pretty good stuff on the weekends. I guess that this was especially for 4-20...? On Saturday's 'Ongoing History of New Music' (sindicated from the edge), he had the history of grunge. They played two temple of the dog songs, and the Mammasan demo tape. I thought that that was a pretty rare occurrence for the radio. Good to hear from another fan in Ottawa...

My cousin works at the radiostation in my town and he has his own radioprogram for 2 hours. I told him to play I am Mine and Betterman. They are not that rare, are they?

Oh, I forgot. He once played Lukin. Just for me. Is actually in to all kind of music, but not Rock and Roll... :P

106.5 in Charlotte, NC played all of No Code when it was first released. It wasn't just putting in the cd and playing it all....they would play a song, then discuss it, then go to the next song of course with a few commercial breaks in between some songs...
