    Hmmmm..... I was searching for nearby hotels online yesterday and found one for $89/night, today the same room is being listed for $229/night. Wonder if they just updated the rate for Labor Day or if the news is spreading.

    I know I hit the one in waterford about 10 miles out....99$ a night cancel anytime.....dont book their 79$ price that is no cancelations no matter what

    Why so much excitement about Alpine Valley? I ask this in all honesty as I've never been. But when I look it up in Google, it just looks like a place to ski in the winter or golf in the summer. What else is there to do in this area? What about it makes it so great? I always hear that it's an amazing place, but never any real details as to why.

    Did anybody else hear this rumor that Alpine Valley will see Pearl Jam this August but the PJ20 event won't be Alpine Valley but another city close by? :|

    FYI... I just called Alpine Valley Resort...and they said that the resort is booked due to a company golf outing...something doesn't seem right... Someone else called and they said they were booked because of "rumors of a concert."

    they probably are not allowed to say anything before it becomes official and the golf outing is a fake

    Alpine Valley is the an amazing place. I was at the '03 show. I've seen Radiohead there once and DMB 4 times. Also saw Deftones there too. Always have an amazing time.

    I think the reason why its so awesome is because its in the middle of effin nowhere but still in the thick of things ( an hour from CHI, Madison and Milwakee). Its 40,000 people and 50,000 in the parking lot before the show. The people in the Midwest are chill and the sound in the venue is spectacular.

    The qustion, whats so great about AlPine VaLLY? is really tough to answer. Its kind of like asking someone why they like to look at the stars.

    i will be so pissed of if its labour day weekend, im going to be in chicago during the summer for three months, if they pick the month that im not going to be there, and ive missed it by 12 days i will be so upset

    Lady at hotel admits they have no affiliations with music place, but it is being discussed BUT nothing confirmed. I then booked my room. Sept 2-5.

    All I know is I got 2 rooms booked there for Labor Day weekend.

    apparently they are filing for bankruptcy and closing up shop in july.
