I was being a bit generous I guess. Hahahahaha Either way its something that could be done very simply and would make everyone happy. I don't think there is any member that wouldn't want a feature that would be on http://www.pearljam.com where their members could get their standing in the club any time they felt like checking hoping that they may move up a spot that month.

Indeed. Already need an outlook reminder to renew every year.
  • Would everyone be in favor of this so that way it eliminates all of the gaps in members that have expired. that way everyones number greatly improves and we would really get a true sense of where we really stand in the terms of seniority.

Obviously this is something that would only get done once every 5 years or so.

I always wonder why the fans think they can try and change the fan club.
Its there, its good enough, and they do what they want, just like anything else in society. Just becasue they are good to us doesnt mean they want our opinions, I think people get that confused alot, and in turn the club sometimes is rude. And I dont blame them.

Its a business now not just a fan club. they are always looking at improving their site. you make it seem like this is something they cant do and there isn't a new number to remember. You keep your number and you can check your real time seniority status on their site anytime you want, hell they can put it in your profile on the site instead.

Yo make it seem like this process is complicated. I guarantee you everyone disagreeing would love to know their actual seniorty position after 16 years of people dropping out.

I do not care. So there is one. I am happy with my number (175xxx) and my seats. There will always be a bunch of people with better and a bunch with worse.

Id rather they focused on getting us information a little bit quicker and fixing the servers for those big onsales. Especially when those zippos hit.

After looking at the seat tracker data collected (a small sample), I say the 50 percentile for senority is at 200,000. Therefore if your under 200,XXX , you have better seats than half the members. (Barring that you won the seat lottery)

Its not a new number, its a different number you see in your profile when you log in. Your membership number doesn't change. Its something that can be done in 2 hours, Im sure the ordering and shipping problems are a little harder to get right.

NICE play on words (if you meant it :))! But thats exactly why I wish they would focus on that stuff.

OK so I log in and it says Welcome Get-right, today you are member 11,457 out of 55,876 active members or something like that?

I dont really care about that stuff, but thats just me.

Exactly how it would be. It would just be there for people who are interested. Especially this time when concert season is upon them.

  • It would be extremely easy to do. 10Club chooses not to. I read an interview where they specifically said the number of members is a secret.

    Why?

I don't know. It is asinine if you asked me.

I would love to see an actual number.
    1995 San diego, 1998 Mansfield, 2000 Camden, 2003 Mansfield x3,
    2004 Boston x2, 2006 Honolulu, Albany, Hartford, Boston x2
2008 Hartford, Mansfield x2, LA (EV solo) x2, Boston (EV solo) x1,
    2009 Philly x3, 2010 Hartford, Boston, NYC x2, 2011 East Troy x2

Because then we could do the math and see how much money they are making. Imagine the expectations if that were to happen.

Other than trying to guess your seats (which Ive already suggested is almost impossible), there is no other reason we need to know this.

No my argument isnt that its impossible, its that there are just other things to fill my thoughts with besided their protocall. Its cool you want change, but it just doesnt seem plausable to me.
