Great show, despite it being a short set. Holy hell, to this day I've never been more cold in my entire life!!! I was wearing a teeshirt and jeans...

Anyways, I want all of my fellow PJ fans who are feeling the heat of the summer to remember that brisk and chilly night and to take some "comfort" in that cooler times are coming. 109 here today!!

In conjunction with another thread...

PLAY ALPINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe I overheard Ed saying that after his Milwaukee and Chicago shows he was going to round up the rest of the boys and play Alpine for 2 or 3 nights. Yeah... that's the ticket.

I saw PJ later that tour in Houston and Ed commented about how cold the WI show was. Of course, it's Oct in Texas and it's in the 90s. He commented how it felt like Hawaii. Someone then threw up some leighs on the stage and Ed passed them around..........

After the show that night at Alpine, we got back to my car and someone had puked on the passenger side door. Pretty weird to have puke FROZEN to the side of your car.

Awesome. I've still got my stub too!

If I had to do it all over again, I think I would have brought some Jack instead of drinking beer.

    That was dumb. Hahahahaha!

Damn I'm still kicking myself for not going to this one! I went to Detroit that year (which was my first Pearl Jam show) and I was VERY tempted to go to Chicago (Ed appeared at a Nadder rally in between Det. and Alpine) and then see Alpine. I wussed out and missed a legendary show. :(

Oh well, Alpine O9 in warmer weather!!!

That was a great show, I had my Pearl Jam evil goat hat on trying to keep my ears warm. The Ice Bowl was an extra special night!

I remember walking from the parking lot to the entrance and it was dam cold. But once the show started we all kept warm by dancing all during the show. But when the show ended it was cold again but we all did ok. :) It was worth it.
    My first show!

    That's so awesome. :D

Definitely a memorable show. A little short, due to the cold, compared to other shows. But I will never forget freezing my ass off.
