  • SoonForgotten2 - seems your calculations are a bit off, as the regular membership is $20 & a boot is about $15, that equals $35. Since the analog membership is $40, that means the t-shirt cost me $5. "I call that a bargain..." ; P

Right but in actuality, the free boot costs them next to nothing to host and the shirt couldn't have cost more than a buck or two to produce, depending on how many they had printed so although on the surface it might look like a great "deal" to some, it was almost $20 of pure profit for the band.

mp3 boots are 9.99 and perhaps he was referencing the international cost? Im guessing of course but that makes the T shirt $20

I think they gave us these shirts to be able to tell, when a band member is approached in public, whether they should run away or stick around

    Yikes.
  • To the people who like this shirt....if any other band, team, company or person put out a shirt exactly like this for $20, would you still like it?

Also, didn't Tim mention a band member was making this? Who is the guilty party? Maybe Dave A did out of spite. Or maybe he meant one of the band member's small children.
  • i didnt realize when they said you would get a tenclub shirt, you literally get a shirt for fans of the fanclub, and not a Pearl Jam shirt. awesome.
  • The shirt is cool and it's a great conversation starter :D:D

It's not a great tshirt let's be honest. It's almost like they don't want people to spend that extra $20. They should really have gone all out on this first one, thus increasing membership revenue. $20 for that?

really not worth it. Maybe it will be better next year.
  • Still have my original MB 10C shirt from the 90's but have retired it to a plastic bag

i was kinda hoping they would reprint this and make it the 1st annual 10 club shirt. but no.
thats honestly what i was thinking too

or at least something with a similar theme and of the same caliber

guess they decided to go the shitty route instead :P

I love how it says I'm Analog yet there are digital sound waves on the shirt. hahahahahahahaha

Digital waves are square as they are a sampling of the analog waves. Those are indeed analog waves.

Are they displayed on a piece of digital equipment? which is my point.
That just means it's a digital representation of an analog signal.

You can be SURE that I will be tuning in to the radio show to see if this topic is addressed and hopefully a caller brings it up.
I still cannot believe that this is the shirt, it feels like a real early April Fools joke. Whoever greenlit the final product should be embarrassed.
And so you see, I have come to doubt

  • wait... has anyone checked to make sure these aren't hand drawn in sharpie by a band member? that would make them better, right?

Expect a condescending answer about starting your own band and own fan club and selling millions of albums then talk to him about it.

  • so, by wearing this shirt, does it say I'm a fan of PJ or does it say I'm a fan of the fanclub?
This is what I don't get. I've never understood any of the "10Club" merch. I'm a fan of the band, not the fan club.
  • What surprises me is that there is nothing "10 Club" on it at all. Are we not the 10 Club anymore? Is this not a 10 Club item only item? Or have we been segregated into 2 categories now.

Right off the bat, have a caveman holding a club with the number 10 on it. Have a night club drawing with the sign in neon lights saying 10 Club. Seriously........I'm Analog. Wow!!

Are there no clever people over there?

I said it takes a digital machine to display those Analog wave images. If you are going to say I'm Analog, just put a picture of a record player under it. I think we probably would have all been a little happier with the design.

    That sounds about right! :)

I've got a new idea... I think everyone in the band has to play at least one night at PJ20 fest wearing THIS shirt! That way every picture that comes from the festival will have Ed, Mike, Stone, Jeff, Matt and Boom (and possibly any backing vocalists) wearing I'M ANALOG! Matching band uniforms for everyone! You put it out, you wear it. Stone at least looked cool wearing the Loomstate shirt on ACL.

I think even then the resounding response would be that "wow Pearl Jam is about as out of touch as whatever the hell Sublime are calling themselves now-a-days"... Seriously, who did the 10 club make this shirt for?
