NHL all star game is.....

Horrible! I love hockey but the NHL all star game is just as bad as the NFL all star game. It's 4-1 Eastern Conference after ten minutes!

    Nothing's as bad as the pro bowl. I think they should get rid of it and have a skills competition. QBs hitting moving targets, longest kickoff/punt/FG, fastest run through a course, some sort of blocking sled challenge, etc...

    I thought the draft was a cool idea, if you like all-star games. Personally I hate all-star games. I'll watch the skills competition but that's about it. I never saw the point for it in any of the professional sports. I have no problem with naming an all star team but there is no need for them to play some half-assed pond hockey pick up scrimmage. Every year they do something to TRY and make them more interesting. But they are meaningless so what's the point. Oh yeah, like baseball, great idea. You could have a team that wins 120 games or so and doesn't get home field advantage in the world series. Why? So the all star game has some feeble sort of meaning? They're still going to take the pitchers out after a couple of innings so it's still not a real game. I know these all star things are embedded in professional sport and are here to stay but they are just a waste when I could be watching some real hockey.

    it has no hitting..hockey can't be played w/ out hitting obviously

    All Star game selection process was cool , but I'm having more fun listening to Live at Leeds and watching the Weather Channel than watching the game. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ( or DOG to the dyslexic) , HIT SOMEBODY !!!

    As much as i love and played the game of hockey I CAN NOT STAND WATCHING ANY PROFESSIONAL ALLSTAR GAME. The NHL Skills contest yes, dunk contest hell no, homerun derby same as the last one NO, and any other ALLSTAR contest NO.

    I think the last allstar game I watched was back when BIrd, Dr J and MJ played. Even then it was tough to watch it all. Mostly it's all a waste of time. :(

    Patrick Sharp MVP???? WTF????? Shea Weber had 4 assists, not done in 26 years and he doesn't get it???? Only good thing was I had the game on, volume off listening to PJ and Robert Plant/Band of Joy concert from Jan 28 in CT.

    Oh and Bettman sucks!

    Eastern Conference? I think you meant Team Staal.

    I thought it was a damn good fun game. Exciting and close.

    I would have gone with Weber also as MVP along with the 4 assists he was a +6. Also glad the Flyers represented well :)
