A second Mansfield show!?

First of all let me just thank Pearl Jam for coming back to the Tweeter Center! As much as I love Boston, the traffic to and from the show always bites! Mansfield is such a better drive. Okay, now I know this post mainly concerns us New Englanders, but if history has taught us anything, there should be a good chance that PJ plays another show in Mansfield.

LOL! Now that I think about it, this wasn't really a question but rather a glimpse into the future! Well, see everyone in the VIP parking lot in Mansfield. Hopefully for two shows!!

P.S. It's worth the $20-25 for the VIP parking. Easy to leave, and a lot less hassling by the secruity guards on bikes. Everyone have fun and be safe!!

    Surprised to see another round at Mansfield... I thought they were banned after going over curfew last time. Should be a great show. I would anticipate a 2 night stand. Possibly the second night not being a 10 club show. Thats what happened with the EPIC third night in Mansfield in 03. Expect Theo and Gammons on the side of the stage....

    definitely agree with you on the VIP lot(if you have the cash). Getting out of the lot can be a huge mess if you're in the regular parking.

    Yeah. Last time PJ were in Mansfield a car full of teenagers crashed into a brand new BMW after the show. The guy gets out all asking the teens for their ID's causing a big scene. It caused a huge traffic jam for everyone stuck in the back rows. It was a nightmare. VIP parking, or the lot(s) outside the venue are your best bet.

    Just floating this out there....Could a 2nd show possibly at fenway? The Red Sox are on the road for 10 days around the time of the Mansfield show. I actually was lurking around some of the posts to see if anyone had speculated on this. Thoughts???

    I like the way you think!! :) Theo and Eddie seem to be pretty good pals. I don't see how this couldn't happen. Interesting.

    They usually hold 1 concert per year @ Fenway and they haven't announced anything yet. The only other real long stretch that the Sox are on the road during the summer months is for 2 weeks in the middle of July. They need more than a week of time for set up/break down and field maintenance. i'm surprised it hasn't happened in previous years. If there ever was a time, it seems this would be it.

    It was supposed to be Bon Jovi at Fenway, but he recently said that they are probably going to Europe instead...

    Maybe Pearl Jam will fill in. A lot of east coasters will be on roadtrips for these shows so they could probably sell out no problem.

    Sell outs are never an issue @ fenway. People will go not matter who plays. It's usually an issue of band availibility. In the past, they have allowed season ticket holders opportunities to buy tickets before public sales.

    You would have heard about a fenway show in the news already. The Red Sox have to get approval from the city before they can host any concerts. And besides that the way the media is when it comes to the Red Sox this would have been out months ago.

    Silly question here, but I am curious . . . why is there a curfew and who does it affect? Is it for everyone or just for people under eighteen? Why do concerts have to end at a certain time - noise by-laws?

    Sorry if this seems silly, just procrastinating and avoiding working on a paper that's due on Tuesday.

    actually, mansfield completely and utterly blows traffic/parking wise. I like Boston much better because ya got public transportation to the place alleviating the headaches of traffic and parking. getting out of the tweeter center is a sheer nightmare.

    I had heard last year that they were a possibility for Fenway before the Police ended up playing there

    they will probably add a 1st night, right? i would think if they were adding a show without 10c tix they wouldnt make it the tour closer.

    They will add a Show on Sun June 29th..... Friday is the 27th in Harford then the 29and 30th of june close out the tour!

    yeah thats what I think. Shits getting expensive. Looks like I will have to get a hotel room for Sunday night at least.

    I am hoping for this. I am going to try to go from Texas to the Mansfield shows. I got the hookup with a home in Providence, which I note is only about 20 or so miles from Mansfield.

    So, here's to hoping for an added 1st night on Sunday, June 29th!!

    And here's to hoping I don't get shut out!

    And now I need to decide if I want to squeeze Hartford in there too.

    Camden II is all but comfirmed Friday June 20th 7:30 pm..... Camden I is on my birthday I'll be twenty nine I can't wait! I plan on going to Camden !, NYC 2, Hartford and both Mansfields!

    Yeah, I'm definitely recording this game. I just want to see how the crowd reacts when Dice-K takes the mound. I guess he's considered royalty in Japan! :)

    If they add a "first show" that would be awesome! One, for being on a Sunday, and two for adding a second show! :)

    I agree that mansfield blows traffic wise getting to and from the tweeter. Id prefer Boston myself but inthe grand scheme of things Im just happy they are touring the east. WOuld have preferred Boston however.
