Cage The Elephant- Thank You, Happy Birthday

Cage The Elephant's new album leaked last night. It's ballsy and very diverse. Here are my favorites right now.

1. Aberdeen
2. Right Before My Eyes
3. Shake Me Down
4. Always Something
5. Flow

Flow itself is its own song for the first 3 minutes and then turns into an acoustic reprise of "Right Before My Eyes" which sounds like the original Timber Me Shivers YouTube version of the song, rather than the dreamier version heard earlier on the album.

The album is brilliant, totally different from their debut album and far more mature. It has some their heaviest material ever which just rocks (Aberdeen, Sabertooth Tiger, Indy Kidz, Sell Yourself) and some brilliant laid back songs (Right Before My Eyes, Rubber Ball, Flow) and mixtures of both (Japanese Buffalo, Around My Head, 2024, Shake Me Down).

Really can't wait to get my signed copy I preordered in the mail next week. This won't be leaving my car for awhile. These guys are the real deal.

I got it last night and wow! I can't stop listening to it, it's the best rock album I've heard in a good while. The new "Cake" & "Decemberists" albums are also very good! This is a great start for music in 2011. I'm excited! :D

Just listened to the album and am seriously impressed by how much it rocks!! Was a casual fan before, really only knew a few songs from the first album and liked them all, so decided to give the sophomore album a listen and cant stop listening to it! So far favorites are Always Something, Shake Me Down, and Around My Head. Killer album all around!

I was in Best Buy today, they had the cd on sale for $6.99. Not really a fan of them, but was tempted to buy it.

saw them in Augusta, Ga and then Charleston, Sc last year. had amazing energy. Matt Schultz was a madman on the stage.. and had way more of a punk feeling or vibe than i could actually hear on the studio album. looking foward to seeing them again.
