+1 on appreciation of the glass pipes
I've been dying to take a glass blowing course! I'd love to see the work you make0 -
First class was amazing. I'm hopelessy in love with this craft. Made a solid paperweight and I'll start actually blowing this Saturday. On average we have enough time to make 1-2 peices per week so I'm real excited about what I can potentially make in 8 weeks. I'll post photos as I bring each piece home!We were but stones your light made us stars0

i'm an idiot and cant figure out how to post pics in the body of a post, so let me know if you guys can view the whole album by clicking the link above. I've completed about 18 hours of studio time so far and have made about 10-12 pieces, some of which have broken. this is by far the most fun I've ever had and I'm 100% sure i want to continue pursuing this art. now if only retirement would come 35 years earlyWe were but stones your light made us stars0 -

Thanks everyone! I like to paint a little in my spare time but my no means do i consider myself a very good artist. I really only paint abstract stuff, just things i think look cool. That used to be such an escape for me. But this glassblowing is a completely different thing. It's the single most thing I look forward to doing every week. I'll be very sad if I cant continue this craft for as long as I live or somehow make a career out of it down the road. Maybe I can retire at 30
I highly recommend looking into it if anyone in your area offers the experience!
