    are you my brother???

man that would piss me the hell off, I'd come home and half my CDs would mysteriously have disappeared (or he'd be in my room listening, which I also hated)...I wouldn't have minded if he just ASKED.

lol, no....my sister isn't a Pearl Jam fan....she just had Vs. because it was popular at the time.

She didn't care if I used her stereo and listened to her albums as long as I didn't break the stereo or scratch up the discs to the point of not playing. She was very cool about it.

I was very protective of my personal space :).
now I don't mind because I ended up influencing my little brother a lot with the music I listened to.

Ahh someone of my age bracket. For those of you too young to remember, rock and roll was suspect when I was your age (lots of hair, tight pants, power balads) so finding good music in someone else's time was mandatory.

The MTV generation suffered greatly (Although there was some amazing music you had to look for it, Husker Du, being one great one, check it out if you don't know them)

I was a kid during the "MTV generation" but I got into music at an early age. I have always argued that the 80s was a much better decade for music it is usually considered to have been. Lots of diversity. Unfortunately people just remember the hair metal.

No doubt there was such amazing music. It was just not on the surface as the 90's was.

Saw some great shows. The Clash, Ramones (although they started in the 70's), Cure, REM, Goth Scene (got way into that- esp Joy Division), etc.

I believe it was the first time "Alive" was aired... At least a few members were interviewed. Damn that was a long time ago!!
