Hell yeah, it's a great time and they just love playing. Honestly, one of my favorite live bands I have ever seen.
I have listened to him a bit, The Duke and the King I started listening to recently.
Check out A.A Bondy as well. He is the husband of the Felice brothers sister (I believe) and is not bad himself.
Hahaha I love A.A Bondy. Awesome. You have great taste!

True that. Hope to catch any and/or all live this year.

Yeah, me too. Saw the Felice Brothers twice last year once at a bar here in Philly and once at Ommegang, a brewery in Cooperstown, NY. Haven't seen A.A Bondy live but would love to.
I think The Felice Brothers are making a new record then I assume they will hit the road again. They had a busy fall/winter.
It's funny, I actually discovered The Felice Brothers at Austin City Limits which I went to mostly for Pearl Jam but The Felice Brothers were the highlight of that weekend, I think.0 -

I bet! I saw them at a bar in Columbus about a year ago. They were so drunk it was comical and actually pretty terrible. But then I saw them at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass over the summer and was totally blown away. I'm a huge Avett Brothers fan and I have to say performance wise they kicked the Avett's ass. And the Avett's put on a killer show!

That's pretty hilarious they were so drunk. At Ommegang there was a camp fire after the show and they were all hanging out bullshitting and were pretty banged up. Good times.
Yeah, I have seen the Avetts and am going to see them again in February but I definitely think The Felice Brothers blow them away.0 -

Yeah, I gotta get to this. Question though, I thought I read a while back there is no booze there. Is that possible? That would suck.0 -

They were out of Kansas and their first album, Dragline, came out around the same time as the grunge explosion. The lead singer sounds like an angry Ed Vedder, and although the album is hard rock, there are touches of country influence weaved in.
If you like rock, you will like Paw.
WowI remember PAW ... saw them live a few times think if memory serves Mark Hennessy was the singer, kind of crazy wild looking guy, heavily tattooed if I remember ... they were a good band from what I remember.
My not often heard of band are The Two Gallants
Yeah Mark Hennessy was the singer and Grant Fitch was on guitars and his brother Peter on drums. They played a few reunion shows in 2008 but I haven't heard of any recent activity. They played in my area a few times back in the day but I never had a chance to see them because they were 21 and over shows.
Their second album Death to Traitors has a different vibe (more country influence) then Dragline, but it is still great. They did an EP called Home is a Strange Place back in 2000 which was so-so.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

I used to torture my friends with their strange music back in high school. I loved some of their longer pieces.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -

Man! I totally agree, most people only know Marcy Playground for the single Sex & Candy, but they are amazing on all of their albums. They just put out a new album a few months back that is stellar, and I got a chance to see them live here in West Palm Beach a few months ago with about 50 people, and the show fucking rocked!
a slower tune, but real nice:

tripping daisy were fucking fabulous. i miss the shit outta them...
Is the Polyphonic Spree still in existence?
yeah, i think they're still together although they haven't recorded or toured in a bit, i believe. i've been into them since the very beginning, but i'd still give them up if it meant more tripping daisy. RIP wes berggren.0 -

They say this, but it's totally not enforced. Just don't be an idiot about it. Where the bands play you can buy beer, but if you have a backpack no one's going to check it. And we always drive in multiple coolers of beer.
If you do it, you should camp out for the weekend in the non-quiet/family area. It's a fucking blast at night. The whole scene is also. Especially the perkiomen creek swimming area; fyi - bring some kind of sandal or rubber shoe for that.0 -

Thats good to hear. Not sure how I feel about a festival without drinking at all. For some reason I was under the impression they didn't even sell beer. Honestly, I think that is why we didn't go last year. Definitely going to have to go next year.
Yeah, we would definitely camp out. Sounds awesome. I will most definitely be there next summer.
Thanks dude.0
