I just needed a break from all the tour/ticket talk and complaining, thought some of you might also need a break. I was listening to this program and it follows the history of grunge in a six part series by Alan Cross. He's a Canadian DJ/music historian from the Toronto area and his program is one of the best for sure. I think many of you on here would love to listen to this, so I hope you enjoy.......just click on the PAST SHOWS link in red under the picture of Alan Cross and the six part series on grunge will be there, PART 2 is all about PJ.

I actually really liked the latter installments. some really good insight into rock's role in society, and he really has some postitive things to say about pearl jam's role. In addition to the presentation I noted above I also wrote a story about being a 12-18 year old rock fan between 1990 and 1996, and his whole assessment really lined up exactly with mine. the whole thing brought back huge memories from high school (the day kurt died, when "alternative" started to move toward Green Day and the Offspring, soundgarden releasing the "last true grunge album"...)

kids and youngins, you all should listen to this.
