On second thought, I am not happy with the Stockholm version of "Rival". Drums at the beginning annoy me. Let's either put back the Katowice version or try a different version of "Rival".

yay Oslo Timeless Melody - Love that one!

for Rival there is - Milan, Stockholm, Netherlands,Katowice and Germany
So if we don't want Stockholm (which is a shame, IMO it was pretty good )
There's still 4 others (Don't know if we need another German track

but I'll listen to it)

Netherlands - Good version. I think there is one lyric mess up but it's not a big deal. Nice version.
Milan- Another solid version. Like it a lot.
Katowice - The version that we had in the rough draft, Messes up the lyrics.

It's funny but then it becomes noticeable. Might not be so noticeable in amongst all the others though. IMO Milan and the Netherlands are stronger versions.
Germany - Solid start, a guitar cuts out - Mike's I think? - just after the beginning of the second verse so Ed's voice stands out really clear. Then he kinda messes up the lyrics, but the guitar comes back after a bit.

IMO
if we don't want Stockholm, either Milan or the Netherlands should be next. Just the better stronger versions of the songs IMO.
Katowice - like it, just not a lot, too many eff ups. Once I noticed them it kinda put me off listening to it.

:shock: Version 2 already ?! I just knew that going to work today and actually get some work done was a bad idea ...

Been listening to Version 1 and Oslo TM does fit better. It actually makes a difference. More so than I initially thought it would.

I didn't have an issue with Stockholm's rival, but since you raised the drum thing, I keep hearing it. And it is annoying.

So I guess we have to resort to the Pinkpop version where the lyrics are messed up too (we just can't use the Hamburg one where he actually states that he fucked up and the sound is not so good). Or go back to the Katowice version.

I figured that since we have to go with a version where the lyrics are messed up anyway, we could go back to the Katowice one ? I mean, at least this one was fun.

Brilliant - will listen right through in the next hour or so. I think we've made excellent progress with this one. Is very hard to do it justice, but the Euro boots and Euro performances, and fellow board members make certain things work as well as possible. I have been getting a lot of emotion and a lot out of listening to the collection. Thanks.

Will give some feedback later on

Been listening through and through. I'm not keen on Pinkpop's Rival. I reckon Katowice's fits better after the angry Grievance from London. Somehow it's more relevant and I feel something's missing with the same sequence in Version 2. As a consequence, I reckon you notice the messed up lyrics even more, with nothing to compensate for it, whereas with Katowice's, well, at least it's taking you somewhere (I'm just not sure where yet).

I am not to fond of Pinkpop "Rival" either. Lets go back to Katowice and use that. Does everyone agree?
