Yeah, both Stockholm and Milan are great, but I like Stockholm a little better.
Katowice 1 is cool as well. Maybe this version can stay? Are the lyrics that important?

I think we've got a great Thin Air from a great show (Milan) - so I personally wouldn't want to change that one.

My brain is becoming fried again - it's taken me this long to realise that you guys have *stuck* with Salzburg for God's Dice I have just gone and downloaded it again!!

RIght, coffee and cigarettes and then I will do my Rival homework, promise. I keep getting distracted!! Sorry :oops:

Well, the thing with the messed-up lyrics is that once you've noticed that they're not right, you can't help but hearing it. And that could be annoying. On the other hand, this version is ... special. So I don't know. I'd say it's a tie between orthodox rival from Stockholm, and twisted rival from Katowice 1.

I enjoyed that Rival the most I have ever enjoyed the song - and that's probably because I think it has the worst lyrics of any Pearl Jam song! eek

It's a great version!

Overall the problem I am having is that I think this is by *far* the best rough draft we have had at this stage, and personally I am not sure if we need to change any of it.

i listened to God's Dice about 20 times in a row, no kidding. Got carried away and started listening to other versions from the american 2000 tour. Love the song.
I didn't realise how much Eddie effs up the lyrics for it though love it still , but he seems to get the second and third verses always mixed up

Are we going to review Timeless Melody? I was listening to it today, wasn't familiar with it before to be honest. Really like it but I read somewhere (maybe tremors put it) that they've done it differently? I might have a listen, because there was something about it that just didn't scream last song to me. But I'll listen to it again

Thin Air is perfect IMO, really really like it as it is.

The Timeless Melody is one of the most 'sad' or disturbed I have heard it. Other versions are more uplifting I find

Electicxlovex - Have a listen to the London version of Timeless Melody and see what you think of it - as a reference point. That is the version I know best.

I was curious as to what it would sound like if we changed the track order and not follow that of the album. I believe the mood would be different. But we don't want to do that, right ?

Listened to the Stockholm Rival, very good version IMO. Milan is also good too. I like them both equally. Both have perfect lyrics.

Wasn't as noticeable when I first listened to the whole thing, more noticeable now. Still like it

The reason I think Timeless Melody is a good track to end on is that the song is sad but can be uplifting at the same time - 'poignant', and I think has some very relevant lyrics. So I think finding a different version of this track might be a good idea for our ending.
