Morning all!

Before breakfast I have listened to the project so far, and when I got to Light Years I went on a bit of a detour and listened to a range of different versions from the Euro boots. I have found two alternative versions, both of which I find work better for me in the spirit of this collection when placed within it - and wanted to know your thoughts. They are quite different performances I would say - a 'strong' one, and a 'softer' one.

The strong one is Katowice, with a bit of talking before, which we might or might not include. Clear and powerful vocals.

The second, which I do prefer, and it gives me goosebumps listening back, is Prague - a softer quite mournful tone, which I also think fits with the tone of our Nothing as it seems, and made me reflect more on the theme of our collection, a beautifully subtle and moving performance.

Both of these I think work better than our current version of Light Years, which although it is a great and moving version sounds to me quite specific and 'personal', and has some extra lines added to the song, whereas the two versions I have highlighted here are very moving without any additions or extras which take the song into different places.

So I my personal preference from the ones I have listened to this morning would be Prague, but I would also think Katowice would work well for our collection, now that I have been able to listen to the larger piece. What do you think?

What do people think of my feedback about Light Years? I've been listening through with the Prague Light Years, and I think it fits better overall.....

I think Cameron4President's latest tracklist has picked up a few errors, based on where we got to yesterday. My understanding was that we had settled on one song from Milan, and that being Thin Air, after we were weighing up Milan for Of the Girl too.

We might need to reopen discussion on a few tracks maybe - Cameron4President is quite good at helping sort things out. Is he around?

That is pretty much what I have been listening to today, and it sounds very good. I have been listening to the Lisbon Of the Girl in there, and that sounds amazing.

Also, I am not sure about Evacuation - it seems to have quite a few lyrical slip ups especially at the beginning

I will try that now, also I am wondering if it would be good to finish the collection with a good 'improv' - I think that might fit after I Got You. Do we have a list of possible improvs to choose from?

Good idea. I think finishing with Timeless Melody would make a lot of sense. So I prefer your first option.

Definitely like the San Sebastian Of the Girl!

We haven't had anything from London 2 yet, which was a good show - so I was thinking of trying that Insignificance, or alternatively listening to that show for another 'gap'

one is a bit bluesy, from San Sebastian and the other one, I tend to favor over the first one, is from the Rock Im Park show.

I'm sure I don't want Alive on this compilation for various reasons, the first being that I don't see why Alive should be on it.

If we don't go for an improv, there's also the alternative choice of picking Soldier of Love, either from London 1 or Katowice 2.
