Ticketmaster tricks

I know a few of you on here have 'tricks' when purchasing tickets from ticketmaster. I recall reading a few when PJ tix went on sale in the past. Some of you divulged, others would not until after tour.
I want to use these tricks to purchase nfl playoff tix. Anyone willing to share?

not sure of what "tricks" you speak of...but buying from the venue box office is usually the best way to avoid most of the fees and convenience charges. You'll still be slapped with a facility fee (most likely) and a conveience charge but it wont be as much. Other than that, dont know what to tell ya.We were but stones your light made us stars0

Set your computer clock to match the atomic clock. Just google "atomic clock" and find one with a countdown of seconds as well as minutes. I believe most cell phone clocks are automatically set to the atomic clock, so you can probably just watch your cell phone to hit the correct time.
Chances are your computer is off by 20 seconds to 1 minute, and that's how you can lose tickets, because everyone else got in before you thought it was the correct time to click.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

thanks guys. i currently use firefox, so will use ie as well. i know you cant have 2 tabs open for the same window anymore, where you can just jam on refresh both pages.

I believe you can be off by one letter at least, from my experience.
Also, don't refresh too often or it can time you out. Wait until the time, then refresh once or so to get the buy button.ADD 5,200 to the post count you see, thank you.

I've heard that only one word counts... but you don't know which one.severed hand thirteen2006: Gorge 7/23 2008: Hartford 6/27 Beacon 7/1 2009: Spectrum 10/30-31

my possibly wrong guess is that it's the longer word... with a space
this one you can test
someone do it and report back

Google Chrome is incredibly fast.Presidential Advice from President-Elect Mike McCready: "Are you getting something out of this all encompassing trip?"0 -
I occasionally use 3 browsers. It works really well if you're trying to find seats after the initial onsale just to make sure they're giving you the best in your selection range2006: Hartford

I would definitely log into TM 15 or so mins before the sale. You may have to click around every couple of mins so it doesn't log you out but it saves time in the end - that's actually a good time to make sure your contact info is correct. Also, I create a text doc w/my credit card number, expiration date and security code in it so I can just copy/paste it when I place my order to reduce the possibility of errors (I never save that text doc so it disappears when I close my text editor just to be safe). Multiple browsers can work against you if you have a slower internet connection, but if your connection is fast I would definitely use them - firefox and chrome are amazing, I avoid IE at all costs. Also, once the order is placed, I do a screen cap of the confirmation screen just in case something goes wrong w/any emails I should receive. Good luck!I smile, but who am I kidding...0
