How about Release as the opener & Oceans in the encore? I love the idea of surprising people with putting openers in the encore (Long Road in SD '06, Release at Bonnaroo).
only seen 3 shows, 2 in London 2000, and London 2007. openers were Of The Girl, Sometimes and Long Road...
would love Release at MSG2 as it's the only show i'll see this tour and to me it's THE quintessential opener... but the gf will be with me this time and she loves Long Road so i could put up with that again... if i had to...

Nice!!. I've heard OTG, Sometimes, Oceans, Long Road, Release and many other openers. I just always thought a different tone and feel was set for the show when they opened with Release as opposed to the others. Either way I'll be happy but I'm hoping for Release because special things happen when they open with it!!

This or Of the Girl, or Sometimes. In five shows that I've been to, I've never heard the same opener (Long Road, Release, Severed Hand, Wash, Hard to Imagine), so I'm hoping to keep this streak up!

I got Release my first time in Pittsburgh '06. I cried.
I'd still love to hear it again. I doubt HTI will be it, after it opened this weekend...so I'm guessing Release & Oceans will be the two openers. Maybe something out of left field...Yellow Ledbetter?
