Vedder's Voice on Bonnaroo Boot

What's up with Eddie? I'm not sure if its the boot, but he seems to be pulling away from the mic all the time. His voice comes in, and goes out. He pulls out of Who You Are & Hard To Imagine, and sounds terrible on Down.

I'm not sure if this is to do with the recording (as these boots seem to be taking quite a beating from the PJ faithful)

Apart from that, I think the Boot sounds good, very bass & drum heavy.

Most people who have listened to the boot with me tend to comment on Ed's voice ... but in a good way.

So this post is sort of odd to me. Maybe someone else can be of more assistance.

Yeah, that's one I would definitely mention. Ed's voice on the outro part is like melting butter. And yes, I'm a dude. And no, I'm not gay.

I actually think Ed and the band in whole sound amazing on these boots. The quality itself is a bit "rough" but I like the way it sounds. I think Ed sounds better than ever, whether it's less smokes or more whine I hope he keeps it up! :P

Can't wait to see him in Chi-town!

Certain points during the show Ed sounds a little rough. But for the most part, he sounds amazing. I like the little scream during corduroy, the "what the fuck" during half full, and those screams after his speech during porch. Oh and Ed sounds amazing during down, you've got to be kidding.

Overall, that boot is top notch. The best PJ boot I've heard.

I know what the OP is talking about with Ed's proximity to the mic. It is noticeable at times, but I don't think it's a big deal. He does put the effect to good use during the Daughter tag, actually.
