So on my VH1, during the entire PJ performance and twice during Sean Penn's intro and continuing into the commercials, the sound would cut out for 1-2 seconds and the picture kept getting slightly pixelated...like when a digital broadcast cuts out for a second, I don't know what to call it! First I thought maybe Sean Penn was swearing, like he fucked up or something when he first said "they never sold out..." Then it continued like that every 30 seconds or so for the next 10 minutes. FUCK.

I assume this was just a local problem? Or was it the VH1 broadcast that was like this all over???

Thanks a lot COMCAST! I guess I pay $60 a month for JACK SHIT when it comes time to actually sit down and watch and video tape a show I am really looking forward to!!! The rerun better be fucking fixed assholes!!!

And it will probably be on MHD for years to come. PJ storytellers is on at least 3 or 4 times a month still on that channel ... lol.

Our cable does that too. I'm guessing it has something to do with buffers - like enough info isn't in the buffer so that's why you get sound cutting out and pixelation. Not sure exactly why it happens but we get it too.

    At least.

I think that Storytellers was on a few times a day when it first came out.

Now, it seems to be only 2-3 times a week! :D

It worked fine here. Brought back some great memories of seeing them live in Pittsburgh back on February 12, 1979 the show just before the tragedy in Cincinnati. Remarkable show that for some reason Boris the Spider stands out in my mind. Pearl Jam did an awesome performance - best of the groups IMO. Great seeing Pete and Roger still rockin it after all these years. Ticket stub from then says it was 10 bucks for GA - I call that a bargain, one of the best I ever had... sorry I could'nt resist.

OK, whatever that is... I just have shitty basic cable with poor reception, taping it on a VHS (no Tivo for me), so I was just worried that ALL the replays were going to be like that, because of the local cable system or something. I just didn't know. I had been psyched to watch the whole show for days, sat down, and when was it worst? During Pearl Jam.

But don't let me keep you up worrying all night. The repeat immediately following was fine, so I got the performance added to my PJ VHS tape I've been taping all the TV appearances on for the last 10 years. Fear not.

I saw the Who at the Bridge School 99 but then for REAL (electric) in 2000. The ticket was $88 for 25th row, a "bargain" by today's prices. Killer show. Glad I got to see them with the Ox...would never pay $150 or whatever to see just the Two.
