East Troy show...

Ed came out for the second encore in a sequined jacket that was created by one of the Frogs' wives. Also thought it was interesting that they played 6 Vs tunes in a row; possibly just a coincidence. Sound was great, weather was beautiful, band seemed into it, 30 songs played, setlist was fun... hard to ask for much more out of the evening. A great memory. I would definitely recommend obtaining a copy of this show.
The sound of people hitting the backs of their seats after Baba still gives me goose bumps.
The best PJ show I've ever been too.

Yeah, and while I'm not a big fan of Betterman...I don't know if I've ever heard a louder sing-a-long!
The energy at that show was incredible. After the show, walking up the hill as fireworks were going off...awesome!0 -

We did sing very loud and very well during Betterman.
No other show I've been to since has come close to the energy we had that nite.0 -

Yes,it was truly the best pj show I have ever attended myself.
I can attest to it the best,as I was front row center for both this
show and the "ice bowl" show. Don't believe me?
I have the photo's I took both nights and I'm in the touring band 2000 DVD
during the dissident video from the ice bowl show.
You can see me in a yellow Minnesota Vikings jacket from behind while the camera zooms in on the stage.
So yeah,I can attest to the 2003 show being awesome.
It was one of those,"you had to be there moments".
I absolutely cannot wait for the next show or 2 night stand there.
I am also hoping for them to play red rocks again for the 1st time
since 1995.I have yet to see a show there,as I always told myself that I would
remain a red rocks virgin until pj played there again. It's got to happen sooner or later, right? I think 13 or 14 years is a long enough!
See you all there!73,XXX

I have an extra copy... I'll trade it +$10 for a Dusseldorf Klausen poster... I believe I paid around $15 for it so $10 should make it a fair trade?0

Not a bad price at all, since there is one copy of this show available on Ebay for the low low Buy Now price of $60.00

Although they are going to really have to come with some thunder to surpass the performance of 2003. As was already mentioned the weather, the band and the crowd energy was ridiculous that night!!! I drank a third of a bottle of tequila on my way in and couldn't talk for 2 days afterwards due to my exuberance!!! It was also my first poster! And my wife's first PJ show!
;-) I'd still go straight up for the Dusseldorf Poster though... or even throw in a few bucks!0 -
this is getting pretty rediculous0

agreed. crowd was pogoing= al 40,000 of em. was like a faith healing, even by PJ standards it had high energy. Ive been to some great venues and it was like the crowd was on red bull. best show ever.YIELD Fan Club Sergeant-At-Arms0 -

what a great show.
The day before I turned 21...the beautiful weather...40,000 fans...being with people that love pj...I just loved it.
Even the ride to Indy to see them the next day was nothing because all we did was talk about that show."Many people don't know what their life is worth. I do....70 Grand!"0 -
i hope to get this show....eventually0

Alpine Valley, 03 is easily the best show I've been to. That's taking everything into consideration (like venue, crowd, sound, performance, etc.). I've seen the boys play there three times. Lolla, Ice Bowl, and '03. All of those performances are legendary.
I've seen PJ play all over the states, and in several other countries. But when I think back on my best concert experience ever, I think of Pearl Jam at Alpine in '03.
I'm hoping that this summer they do some hand-picked dates here in the states. Bonaroo would be amazing, but we need two nights at Alpine!
The Betterman sing-a-long was a once in a life-time experience that I'm never going to forget. I don't think it's possible to feel the same as I did that night, ever again, and that's pretty incredible. Maybe I'll feel like that again if they play there this summer...
Sorry Dills, I'm not willing to part with my Official Bootleg of that show. Best of luck finding one, it's well worth the search (or the money).Michael James McCabe
