Poster bug!

Anyone still have the poster bug. I am ready for a new tour to see what designs they will come up with next.

    i've actually just caught this bug... Was never really into it, but have purchased 5 in the past week... Now onto framing...

    yeah I'm fairly new to the poster game(about a year into it now) and i got the fever for the flavor!!

    and i think half my attraction to it is that the poster people are hardcore PJ fans,my kind of people!! so when i am amongst poster addicts i feel i am in good company (excluding douche bag flippers of course!)

    some of the coolest people i have met at the concerts were in the poster lines!

    Never knew about posters. Bought a Denver 06 once on here and tacked it up to the wall for awhile.

    Then I recently easily acquired the Camden I poster at the show.
    Then Camden II for a fellow fan who has been down on her luck.

    Then I put Denver in a crappy frame and its up in my apartment and actually looks pretty sharp.

    I started trying to buy Bigpop posters throughout the tour and failed.

    Bought Edmonton and Nijmegen on ebay at a great price and I didnt know any better.

    Then I got the coveted MSGII, and Camden II from here.

    Eddie Blue at another show in DCI

    Vic 07 in the mystery sale.

    Yesterday I bought a Boston VFC II 04 and a East Rutherford II from ebay.


    Yes, I have the bug.

    *sigh*

    i too have caught the bug....in the past week i've spent almost $500 on ebay collecting posters to shows i've been to in the past (not pearl jam) in addition to the posters of the 2 dmb shows i went to last week (sold out by the time i got there)...i realize i'm feeding the flippers but i have the money and they're really cool posters :o

    part of the fun is the framing...i went last saturday and spent almost 2 hours with my framer getting 3 prints framed...beats smoking crack...although it's just as addicting :p:D

    Ahhh--- a few years ago I went crazy. It was just the thrill of the conquest I Guess. I have yet to frame one!!! they are all under my bed (not still in the tubes though).

    I really should frame one or 2!

    but i only stick to shows i've been too or if i really like the art...hence i have katowice 06, gorge 06 and batman....i've been thinking though that might pickup the ev blue east coast....that way i'll have all the ev solo posters except kenyon :o:D

    well i am buying posters to frame and display so i want to able to like them when they're on my walls....for example the dc 06 is hugely popular and i do appreciate what it is expressing but don't want to see that in my living room :eek:....and since i have a small house, wall space is limited :)

    I think Santos and the elves may ramp it back up after Labor day, they needed a break after Mystery Poster Madness...but I imagine we'll see some glossy eagles, pink and orange octopi, skeleton families and gators in our near futures.

    I've got the bug bad also...

    It actually started a few years ago when the 10C released some of the '06 shows... I got St. Paul (Brown) and Boston (Mammoth), and one of the Australian ones (the sweet Fire/Crows one)...

    Then I picked up Columbia and Virginia Beach at the shows this year...

    The I spent a metric fortune getting them framed during a visit to Maryland...

    Then I got my mystery poster (a second St. Paul 2)...

    And the Camden 2 poster from this tour...

    ...and I just recently broke down and got the Philadelphia 1 poster from '06 (the only show I'd been to that wasn't represented on my wall...)

    So, yeah, I've got the itch...

    Which means it's about time to head back to Maryland for a visit and some more poster framing...
    If Adam and Eve had Taco Bell they would have never eaten that filthy fruit...

    Its amazing how the poster thing has exploded. I remember back in the 'Poster world tour 2006' thread where there were only a few participants that kept the poster discussion going. 95% of the pit members couldn't care less of what was going on in that thread, and that is not too long ago!
