I've definitely caught the bug. And a day without Expressobeans feels pretty strange right now...
For me it all started with a Mudhoney poster a couple years ago at the Knitting Factory with a bunch of UFOs on it that only cost $5. About a year and a half later, picked up a Ryan Adams poster at the Town Hall, then Wilco at the Warsaw, and then the Pearl Jam poster craze began this summer as I picked up MSG II and have gone back to find the other 4 of my past shows: Hartford 06, Boston III 03, Camden I 06, and Reading VFC 04. Only the Hartford 06 is missing from the collection now.
well i missed the eddie batman on artillery....sold out! im gettin gused to those words in my search for posters...
for anyone who has recently caught the poster bug i reccomend highly grabing a itoya 18x24 acid free portfolio. i have one and i love it. got for just under $30 at an art supply store in miami but they are even available at amazon.com it acn hold 48 prints in its 24 pages and its alot cheaper than framing all your posters (save that cash for the really nice ones and get a really nice frame job) plus it keeps them flat and accesible, whats the point of having all those posters rolled up in tubes if you cant enjoy them? its great to be able to flip through all your nice prints!
now if only itoya would make a bigger portfolio...some of my pearl jams dont fin in that size

I went from no posters owned and having no clue folks were even into them...to buying my 1st one at the Hartford 08 show. I actually bought 4, as me and my wife got one (one to keep, one for trade), and then lucking out as the poster booth guy asked if I wanted to buy the last 2 as they had extras and we were the last ones at the booth.
This led to going in early to buy Mansfield 1, etc...now between trading and buying, I have every poster I want (9 of them) except Mansfield 98. I swore I would only collect from shows I attended and then decided to make 1 exception as I bought a Kenyon Hall on Ebay last night...
Posters are amazingly addictive and I have ramped my collection from 0 to 9 even knowing I won't realistically frame them for years.
Can not wait for my Kenyon Hall to get here...trying to convince myself that $177 isn't too bad a price!
