Most of the hard rock and metal awards are usually given out during the pre-telecast ceremonies at the L.A. convention center. last year, we sat near Dave Mustaine......he sat emotionless after Megadeath didn't win in their category.

Why is Backspacer nominated for the 2010 Grammy's? If the album was going to be nominated, wouldn't it have been last year?
I don't know actually. Backspacer did come out pretty late in the year, so maybe the Grammys run a slightly extended year to take account of such records.

I was referring more so to the fact that the Grammy's are now in the same cesspit as Rolling Stone magazine, American Idol and MTV
