...in your opinion? Obviously all the albums are all beautifully unique, but which two come closest and why?

No Code/ Yield just because of Jack, and even then they're not much alike.

    Fuck Yeah Bro!
Can't listen to Yield without popping in No Code.

Also, Ten and Vs. has similar theme in my opinion.

Avocado and Riot Act are a bit similar as well in my opinion.

The only two oddballs are Vitalogy and Binaural.

While I do think none are similar, I'd probably go with Ten/Vs if I had to choose.

i dont hear the Ten/Vs similarities.

if anything Vs sounds more like Vitalogy.

nothingman kinda similar to Vs. acoustic stuff
Blood, Animal and Go similar to Vitalogy hard stuff.

they are both really hard, grungy albums.

I don't think any of the albums sound even remotely alike, however i would agree that No Code and Riot Act are most alike (structure more than sound)....

I'd say Yield and Pearl Jam...just because they have pretty straight forward modern rock sounds. But as only PJ can do 'em

I've got to agree with the poster who said Riot Act and No Code. I'm surprised not more people suggested that.

Although I can definitely see the Vs./Vitalogy similarity.
    saw things so much clearer

Totally agree. Listen to these albums back to back and they have an eerily similar feel.

which is odd because NC is umber one in my book and RA isn't close.

Yes, No Code and Riot Act have similar feels.

Maybe it's because they both have mellow openers, (Sometimes, Can't Keep) and mellow closers, (Around The Bend, All Or None). All the other albums open with a rocker. And, both are slightly more arty than say, Vs. or Avocado.

They are like the twins that stand apart together, if you will, from PJ's other works.

Quite possibly my favorite albums, though I also love Vitalogy and Binaural.

I think you can hear a clear progression from No Code to Yield, those 2 albums sound similar to me, maybe that was Irons' influence.....

I also think Binaural and Riot Act sound NOTHING alike, don't get that one at all.....

I think if you take out the filler songs on Vitalogy then it is definitely vs. and Vitalogy.
